Steamisbetter: It was running normally, up until and few days ago. As of now, it cannot connect to servers. I always had windows 7, so the people claiming "it's the windows dummy", are so very wrong (unless there was some recent update to it). Truth is, i changed antivirus many days ago, but the exceptions are nicely done, as per FAQ.
Of course, it would be just the perfect chance to finally abandon the cr@pware. I mean, i had always been interested in standalone installers and never had been a hearty fan of telemetry and shiny baubles, like achievements. Anyway, i have 2 questions here:
1 Galaxi down only for me, or for many, nowadays?
2 Standalone installers contain the latest version of games like Dead Cells, so i can update manually?
PS FU for killing GOGDownloader. Anybody having an alternative download method, would be appreciated very much. I hear 2 people created a python something gog library downloader and manager, can somebody provide links?
The GOG GALAXY 2.0 Open Beta requires Windows 8 or newer, which means unfortunately your system is not supported. You can always download your games via the offline installers on your account: https://www.gog.com/account Of course, it would be just the perfect chance to finally abandon the cr@pware. If there is an update for your title, you will find it as a patch / update as well under the game.
