Destro: It might also be the case that the file simple didn't propagate well enough in your region yet. For a file this big it takes a moment. Feel free to run ping and tracert to cdn.gog.com and post results here. We will know which edge server are you likely getting the file from and investigate further.
Same problem here ... my tracert :

Also gave up on GOG Galaxy.

Generally my download speed is around 4 to 4.4 MB/s.

GOG Galaxy is hovering around 0.0 , 0.1 to 0.2.

I tried changing from 10 connections to 1, that made it worse as it now stays at a constant 0.1 MB/s
I downloaded files from site and loaded to client( its shows i need to download 3gb more), can i get future updates through client?
I've got the same problem on Galaxy 0.0 to 0.1 an occasional boost to 1.0-2.0 and I normally get 4 to 4.5/6mb/s. I've been downloading since yesterday left my pc on all night and I've still not completed the 26Gb DL!

Accidentally aborted (which removed everything it had downloaded already) because i believed it would pauze the download....

So downloaded the game installer from the "extras" and it going at a nice 4.4MB/s
Enough with supporting "the developer", with this speed i cant complete the downloading in near future and my client says failure in connection when try to download remaining portion after loading the file downloaded directly.
(It was expected, but its really frustating when u tasting it)
is it possible at all to continue the download from the old GOG client?

somehow copy the file to a directory and then open the old gog download client and it will continue where it left off
Same here, my internet connection is very fast, uually around 22MB/sec via steam or origin, but via galaxy I get 0.3 average.
Also getting absolutely horrible download speeds. It mostly hovers around 0,1 mb/s, on a 100mbit connection that usually pulls 13+ from steam.

Even worse though, was that the 20% it downloaded yesterday, was discarded when i booted up the client today. I tried the old downloader after that, but it would only let me download 16GB. So now I am back to Galaxy and watching it slowly redownload the whole thing at 0,1 speeds again.

So far, not really impressed with Galaxy.
Downloading stopped after crash. Now its just "Game not supported" error. :)
I think this is the first stress test for GOG servers ^.^

No IPv6 because Comcast are cheap bastards and I'll probably have to pay out of pocket for a new modem.

Edit: But I am planning to update my router's firmware.

My download speed miraculously picked up about 3 hours ago and has kept going at about 2.3 MB/s ever since. However, that did make clear the need for a download cap in the client to stop Galaxy trying to take over my internet.
Just checking in to say I am experiencing the same issue. I normally download at around 7MB/s from Steam, but I am hovering around 0.1 through GoG Galaxy. Nothing critical, but I think there is some issue here.
Yeah, same for me, pre-load of Witcher 3 is painfully slow.
