I was getting between 0.1 and 0.4, a mere fraction of my usual download speeds. I removed the Galaxy client in disgust, and am now downloading the game manually from the website, at a significantly increased speed.

Clearly something is very wrong with it, and I'm not the patient sort, especially not when the game is 27 GB. Hopefully it's something they'll work on, otherwise I see no reason to use it at all.
Yup having problems downloading the patch with Galaxy, it went as far as 77% and then it just stoped with a server error message (it took about an hour to get there on a 10MB/s connection). So I downloaded the patch on GoG.com, it only took like 6 minutes. Installed it but Galaxy isn't recognizing the game is patched and keeps trying to download the patch without success.

Can I uninstall Galaxy without affecting my installation of TW3? I want to support GoG as much as I can but sadly Galaxy is too buggy at the moment.
I only have 2 gbs left of my Witcher 3 download and I'm getting 0.1 mb/sec. I was really don't want to have to start all over again.
Well, Patch 1.03 is ready for download via Galaxy or the GOG Website ...
The patch has roughly 700mb ... and again my download speeds through Galaxy are abysmal ...

The maximum i've seen so far while downloading 1.03 was 1.2mb/s ... constantly falling down to 0.1mb/s ...
I have a 75mbit/s connection, this download should take less than 10 minutes for me, but it is not over 20 minutes and i'm not even half finished ...

I hope you GOG Guys are working on that and I'm all thumbs up for this issue to be fixed soon!
I haven't been following the development of Galaxy for the past few weeks, but I'm wondering if the devs ever commented on this issue. When downloading through the GOG Downloader, I'm getting around 7 MB/s, which is my usual download speed in most places on the internet, but with Galaxy, I'm often only getting 0,1 MB/s. Restarting the client will fix the issue to some extent, but even then the speeds fluctuate a lot (mostly between 1 and 6 MB/s), without ever reaching my connection's top speed.
Glad to see it isn't just me... downloading with GOG galaxy was working perfectly fine for me yesterday, but tonight I'm barely getting .2 MB/s.

Any word on what is happening?
Yah... I like my gog, but downloading is totally diapers...
I just wish I could even SEE a download speed!
Well the speed problem seems to be with the GOG Galaxy client - not the servers.

I tried download ANY game in Galaxy and it would crawl at 0.0-0.3MB/s.
I download the very same file from the website directly in a browser and the download works as normal.

It's only the Galaxy client that is having trouble. I guess a bugfix is in order!

I found that disabling Both Comodo Firewall (From Safe mode to Disabled)
and there didn't really happen anything to my download

But when I disabled eset nod32 antivirus 8, it went up to 7-8MB/ps

My connection is a 60/60 (Often a bit more) fiber-optic

I figured out that it was eset all the time!

I kept the whole thing running letting them return to their original states by the temp disables I gave them from before, when they returned it was all good, but when it had been running some time (I guess a new game were to be downloaded) it went down to the 0-0.2 speeds...

Both were enabled and 5 seconds after I disabled Eset Nod32, it went to 8MB instead, any ideas for what to specific unblock or do? - as it have never told me anything bad about galaxy client AND it's only anti virus NO firewalls (as I chose to get it covered by comodo)

Well, disabling Norton anti-virus helped my DL too. After disabling I'm at 1.7 MBS whereas before it was much much slower. I'd have to get the number by switching back and don't want to do that.

This was with a 3.5 gig game, so I would sure hesitate to buy a monster sized game at these speeds.
Yup, disabling my anti-virus, which was AVG, solved the problem instantly.

Download speeds shot up to 2.5 mb/s, when before they were no more than .3/s and frequently stopped entirely
