Hi guys!

Geralt is having a very close battle against Bayonetta in Round 3 of the GameFAQs Best Game Character contest.

You can help him out at gamefaqs.gamespot.com/

Is he such a good character ?

Or is it just about waving the gog/cdp identity flag ?

Genuinely asking. Haven't played/read the Witcher.
Voted, Geralt is one of the better pc game characters.
75 votes to go, and closing in!

It's purely about popularity. In one of the other brackets the mute and nameless pockemon trainer Red won against Big boss from Metal Gear Solid. It has nothing to do with the actual quality of the writing of the respective characters.

Indeed. I had a look at the competition and ouch.
How long as this been going on and is there somewhere I can see the whole bracket?

No offense to Geralt, Geralt is fantastic, but I can think of much more deserving, more iconic, characters.
I voted for Bayonetta. Geralt just doesn't appeal to me.

And that is precisely why I can't be arsed to pay any attention to it. It's just some silly popularity contest for kids with nothing better to do. Although, I think at some point one of the Tetris blocks won the contest, which is pretty funny.

Besides, I'd argue that Geralt is first and foremost a book character, not a video game character.

So what about you guys and gals on the GOG forum -- Any all-time favorite characters? Not some iconic mainstream character, like Mario or Sonic, but a more personal favorite?
Hang on - just found more votes in the trunk of my car.

Here you go. Geralt wins!

Silly distraction that doesn't hurt anything. But yeah, popularity contest instead of 'best' character. About all we should expect from something like this, anyway.

lol

Geralt actually managed to win! He's going up against Auron in a few days, that'll be much more difficult.
Lara?
Samus?
Max Damage?
Max Payne?
Link?
Paul? Vince?
