Contrary to what you may believe, there are other settings for video games than New York. The following games had fantastic worlds, that were sadly sometimes not exploited to the fullest.

That narrator... but I got through the end.

Strangely, none of these worlds in the video were very appealling to me. I like the Might and Magic setting a lot, but not the futuristic part of it, only the good old Heroes of Might and Magic 1-5 worlds.

My vote would be for the Quest for Glory world. You have Classic Medieval, Persian, African, Gothic and Greek settings all in one.
I know this is cheating, but any Forgotten Realms game fascinates me too.

I can't remember the last game I played that was set in New York...

Max Payne 2, maybe...? I suppose GTA IV would count...
