tremere110: constant ceaseless doxxes and harassment
Well, gee-whiz, that couldn't possibly have anything to do with a certain Eurogamer article that included Linko's real name, his parents' hometown and the bit of info that Linko moved back in with his parents.

I mean, one has to wonder what the purpose of including that info in the article even is. Can someone here make a compelling case why that info would have to be in the article?

OldOldGamer: Call.me stupid, but all this thrash politics, generated by some worthless twits supposedly offending some useless social movements about something... On a damn crap videogame store forum.

This is all 101% wrong.
Left, right, up and down.

I can understand getting pissed off by the new crap website or DRM vs No DRM and similar rubbish.
Everything else is just sooo superflous, pretentious and ridiculous that is unbelievable.
Games, booze, and broads have been replaced by outrage. Recreational outrage, coming to an everywhere near you soon.

It's almost as is Eurogamer has never heard of journalistic ethics and the "minimizing of harm". Seriously, outside of videogaming, I've never seen "journalists" so after low-level employees by name like that. It's not as if there hasn't been other advertising mistakes. But not once have a seen an article calling out the PR person by name, listing their home town, trying to portray them as alt-right harassers. It's almost as if these gaming people aren't real journalists who have no clue about journalistic codes of conduct...
low rated
Or all of this is just a huge false flag operation. On top of it, Linko is being used as a pawn by that Quarter guy for free publicity and to extract money from unsuspecting people.

But hey, what do I know, I'm just a pony... ^:)
This is why social media platforms should be banned from the Internet. There's more negative than positive coming out of these things, so get rid of them, bring back actual news on websites, open forums on every websites. If people want to have their voice heard everywhere, they'll have to work for it, open up hundreds of forum accounts and prey not to get banned by half of them.

Or get sites to stop making new rules, and then selectively enforcing them on parties they don't like and being hypocrites.

Never gonna happen, hypocrisy is part of human nature, that's why you get rid of them period! Humans have proven that they can't use such tools in a positive and constructive manner, only for destruction and it's not gonna get any better with time.

I suppose this is why we need an AI god to rule over us?

But meh. I'll agree with removing most social media sites, as using them has been shown to make you more depressed.
Just saw Disalpha's video on the subject https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AldxiAfmWE

I must say that I'm really disappointed with how GOG is handling this. GOG management I love your customer service but there comes a time were you have to put the needs of your own workers first. I really can't expression enough how satisfied I've been with gog support staff as they have helped me over the years from getting games to work to optimising old games for newer computers. You clearly have good people working for you and I think these people deserve a comfortable work environment.

I'm not even going to get into the whole politics of the situation but I'm am going to say this. Form what I've been seeing, it's like your guys are walking on eggshells because you're afraid of who you might offend or how someone might react. But is this fair? To you, to your staff? I didn't know Sean Halliday personally but he must have done something right to get a job in the first place and it wouldn't surprise me if the atmosphere after his departure is "oh god what if I'm next."

Do whatever you can to purge that atmosphere from your offices and work environments and don't be so afraid of people people online say. This even includes me.

I was thinking of creating a new open letter to gog management but I think that will just open more problems for them, so hopefully they’ll just see this.

goral: It's been confirmed, Linko90 has been fired (which was obvious to anyone with at least half a brain): https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-12-05-troubling-gog-tweets-a-fired-cd-projekt-employee-and-the-spectre-of-gamergate

It turns out that leftists were wrong as always.
That is one of the most depressing things I've ever read. Makes me regret the internet.
