I got a copy of the 3D analyze a while back in an attempt to play some games, however I can't seem to uninstall it now. I have Windows Vista 32b. I have tried going to the start>computer>uninstall or change a program yet it doesn't show up on the list and the option isn't among the items in the folder the program itself is in. Is it just a matter of deleting the folder it is in? Or is there an actual uninstall needed and if so how do I access it given that it isn't showing in normal places? I have tried looking online yet all I get are links to fake software removal sites red flagged by Norton, or sites saying how to install and use it so I am hoping someone here may have an answer
Oh, and when I try to click the help option I get sent to a site in German language so I can't even use it :(

This question / problem has been solved by chezybezyimage
is this the website you mean?

its not something iv used but how i understand it i wonder if it interlaces with your normal gfx card so i wonder if (after removal!) youll need to uninstall and reinstall your gfx card drivers etc to return your system back to normal.

also is there an uninstall exe in the folder?

Try using 3rd party tools. I usually use CCleaner for cleaning registry and programs.
Try this - http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

No that isn't the site, I keep getting directed to the TommTi official site (the makers of the software) And sadly no, there is no uninstall exe in the folder

awh i thought i must have found the wrong website! you could always try using google translate on the site (im not at home atm so not able to mess you see). shame about the uninstaller ive had a few hide in the base folders when there is no link.
Tried it, and the 3DAnalyze didn't show on this list either. I have it sitting in my games folder, and have been using it for NWN2 so I know for a fact it is on my PC and working.

Yeah just look up TommTi 3d analyze and you can see what I have atm that I can't seem to get rid of :(

Do you think maybe it is just a matter of deleting the folder the program is in, since it won't show up on any "currently installed programs" lists? Like it isn't actually "installed" in the truest sense of the word?

You can manually add program that is not on the list - IIRC it is called 'hunter mode'

Ok tried that, it's saying "No Installation Package Found!"

There is alternative for Revo - it is called Total Uninstall http://www.martau.com - you could try it.

Did it actually install or just unzip the files to a location?
ultimately worse case 'we'll' just delete the files and maybe run a cleaner app so its no biggie - unless your experiencing problems with it present on the system? in rare occasions i advice people to delete the files and just carry on ignoring any further actions as sometimes deleting the wrong thing results in issues. besides when you next get the os reinstalled it'll take care of it (whenever that is is up to your personal preference! never or every few months - doesnt matter as its your pc).
3D Analyze works by dumping an altered dll for D3D calls into the game's folder. It doesn't actually add anything to the system in general. Just kill the new .dll files (maybe it does it automatically), and delete the tool if you wish.

Honestly I can't remember, it was a while back. But I have found since that my machine is such a dinosaur that even 3D analyze can only make 1 out every 15 "modern" games run and even then it is so sluggish and glitchy that I am better off not playing said games and ruining the experience. Not to mention even those it has a 50% tendancy to crash on. So should I just go ahead and delete the folder then leave the actual "removal" for the next time I give my pc a clean slate?

No worries sometimes we remember others we dont :).

grviper's rely (below) seems to indicate everything will be fine if you just delete the files and leave it be, so i would do that but just make a copy of anything you delete in case something is unstable after a reboot / later on. checking for any active RELEVANT dlls could be a little tricky though, or just delete the folder then reboot and see how you get on. could try doing so in a safe boot that way things shouldnt be running / active. just back up the files to another location in case something goes wrong though. then try a reboot, then a cold boot and see how the system is, after about a week or so of normal use you could run a cleaner program for any 'dead' links/files but id be tempted to just leave things be.
sorry if i was at home i would have d/l and used the program so i could walk you through things better!
