Since you guys love to giveaway games, what are your thoughts on creating a birthday database of the regular members? So, if you would like to giveaway a game, you could check the birthday thread instead of making another giveaway.

I just thought this up in the shower, so it's not completely fleshed out yet. But what do you guys think?

My birthday is in August, so I'm not fishing for a free game :)

Interesting idea but I highly doubt it will reduce the number of GA's. However it would be cool to have a list so when anyone is feeling generous they could just gift someone on the birthday list that day!

Of course it gets to be a bit more complicated than that...but good concept!

The problem is that assumes you'll have an idea what to do with a thread or can revive it without accusations of necro'ing years old threads (Which happens enough as it is) and people sometimes like to changes rules and methods for their giveaways.

I was thinking of something like the gog giveaway thread and create some kind of calendar spreadsheet. Something people could check on a regular basis to give out games to people who's birthday it is. Maybe combining the two even.

Elle85 used to do a happy birthday thing for a while and im pretty sure there is a thread on the forums somewhere that has a lot of members birthdays in it but i havent seen the thread for possibly 2 years if you want to go hunting.

FYI my birthday is on tuesday 18th of june, presents in the form of booze is most welcome
