Oh, interesting. I'm so going to be an evil douché bag the first playthrough in this game. I hope they honour the title 'inquisition' so you're allowed to use enhanced interrogation and stuff. :-)

I've played Dragon Age: Origins & Dragon Age 2 so I'm really excited about Inquisition coming in 2014. Not sure what I would play as though. As a matter of fact, I wonder who the main protagonist will be in this game..

You are supposed to be playing as someone who is running the Inquisition and get to choose who you ultimately side with I believe.
I'm glad Inquisition has finally been announced. I'm interested in seeing how Frostbite handles open-world RPG & how BioWare approaches open world. 2014 is looking like The Wild Hunt & Inquisition will be my major time sinks.
Bioware isn't doing open world. they said more open, not fully open like TW3.

That's good.

Da fuck are you talking about, it's a Bioware game. It will give you heaps of "choices", but none of them will change anything, it's all just flavor. Bioware RPG's are the enemy of giving the player choice in how the story progresses

Mhm. A simple good-evil binary choice at the ending that actually leads to different outcomes would be progress at this point. >_>
Nobody expects the ...*gets shot*

Oh, I don't expect them to deliver on that part, I mean more on the level of gameplay. I guess that doesn't make much difference but I just want to be evil/different morals if the game has an inquisition part of it.
So, does once again happen something awesome when pressing a button...
After the horrible DA2 I don't know what to think. I'm not too ready to give EA money again. I boycotted the new "Simcity" even though it's one of my favourite franchises and I've never been happier with that choice. DAO might be the spiritual successor to my favourite RPG, BG2, but DA2 ruined all of that. So this choice might be alot easier to make. I'll see a few gameplay videos and see if they made the game better or worse.

Don't hold your breath, most modern designers think that creating multiple branching content is "wasteful" because someone might play the game once and not get all the content in it because of their choices. The modern logic around video games is to create a single default "cinematic" experience for all players, because of the costs of creating extra content (voice, graphics, animation) would simply be too much.

Think about it this way, if a designer makes a dialogue choice with three options, all of which have different consequences and the different reactions from the NPC, that instantly just tripled the amount of work for the developers.

I'm willing to bet that Dragon Age Origin will be the last non-action AAA RPG.
Also what is the deal with Morrigan, she looked different in the trailer from DAO
