Nirth: Oh, I don't expect them to deliver on that part, I mean more on the level of gameplay. I guess that doesn't make much difference but I just want to be evil/different morals if the game has an inquisition part of it.
Don't hold your breath, most modern designers think that creating multiple branching content is "wasteful" because someone might play the game once and not get all the content in it because of their choices. The modern logic around video games is to create a single default "cinematic" experience for all players, because of the costs of creating extra content (voice, graphics, animation) would simply be too much.
Think about it this way, if a designer makes a dialogue choice with three options, all of which have different consequences and the different reactions from the NPC, that instantly just tripled the amount of work for the developers.
I'm willing to bet that Dragon Age Origin will be the last non-action AAA RPG.
