Hi there!
after downloading a game with the GOG Downloader, I rename the setup files to a nicer format. Why? Because "Jade Empire Special Edition.exe" looks a lot better than "setup_jade_empire_2.0.0.4.exe". :)
I do this with the executable files and with the .bin files. With older versions of the installer, this was working without errors. For example, file integrity check and installation of "The Witcher 2" (downloaded November 2012) are working fine after renaming the files. But with newer versions, like the one shipped with "Jade Empire", the file integrity check is stuck in an infinite loop and "Jade Empire.tmp" seems to have a memory leak. The integrity check can, however, be skipped and the game seems to install without errors.
Could this be fixed again with newer versions of the installer? Please? :)
I have searched the forum, and I didn't find a thread with this topic. Am I the only one who is doing this?
