Whether you're a trigger-happy arcade maniac or a well-trained armchair pilot, [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/apache_longbow]Apache Longbow is the game for you for, and it’s only $5.99 on GOG.com

Apache is a combat flight simulator of the American AH-64D Apache Longbow, one of the deadliest flying machines to ever grace the skies. What’s really great about Apache is that it’s so easy to fly (in game, that is, not in real life ;) if you select “arcade mode” and so realistically complex if you decide to select “simulation mode”; the game offers both types of gamers a whoop-whoop-whooping joyride. The game offers only one copter to pilot but your enemies aren’t so limited: Russian tanks, anti-aircraft systems, missiles, Mi-24 Hind helicopters, AH-1 Super Cobra helicopters, MiG-29 fighters and more. Detailed training missions will teach you everything you need to know before your Apache is sent to Korea, Yemen, or Cyprus for a whole lotta flying!

Apache Longbow was a successful simulation because it combined terrific flight model with simple and great gameplay. Explosions or ground models might not look impressive to modern eyes, but the game has incredible gameplay and countless options and missions. You simply don’t get better copters than Apache Longbow for $5.99 on GOG.com. Pick it up today!
You know who else didn't like onomatopoeia?

KajQrd: Is this the dos version or the 3dfx-capable windows 95 version?
It is the DOS version.
It is actually quite good for a 1995 sim ;) I've had a lot of fun playing it. Just be sure you use a joystick and realistic flying mode ;)

piduca: At first, sorry for my bad English.

If I'm not wrong, GOG means "Good Old Games"... But it seems that Gog team is not caring too much about the first "G" at all. It is becoming little and little each last days, and by now it needs to be written with lowercase...
Of course that there are people who like this thing; and of course I will be "burned" by some fans for what I will write... But something is telling me that, sooner than you can imagine, this game will be offered for free - and, even then, it will be a waste of bandwidth.
Come on, gOG, lets uppercase the first "G" before it vanishes!
You are entitled to your own opinion of course, but by 1995 standards this game was very good. Maybe not revolutionary, but it's definitely a "case of uppercase" ;)

Oh, and technically, GOG isn't Good Old Games anymore ;) It's just GOG.com.
