AWESOME. I wanted to play this game since release, never got the chance. Time to rectify that. Thanx GOG!

KoolZoid: One thing - does anyone know what's 'Special' about this Special Edition (GOG-goodies not withstanding)? I have the XBox Collector's Edition (with the shiny inlay and the 'Furious Wang' character or whatever his name was) - is it different to that?
I could've posted to tell you how happy I am that this game is here, and how fast I bought it, but instead I just giggled like a pre-teen when I read "Furious Wang".

Giggling again as I'm typing this post...

Man it's only Tuesday, I need some rest :-p
$15 for a classic/old/whatever release. That's a real downer.

Yes it is!
But that's what happens when you no longer care about two price points [tiny](and your customers)[/tiny].
It's not SWAT 4, but it'll do.

Don't worry, games at a higher price point will get from time to time special sales with higher discounts. For Telltale it's the usual business model (high prices, high discounts), but also other games with higher prices already had their special sales, as example the Unwritten Tales games or Double Fines games. Just be patient and wait ;-)

Looking at my copy, the Collector's Edition came with the 'Monk Zeng' character and the guy I was thinking of was 'Furious Ming' (not much of an improvement over Furious Wang if you ask me.... maybe when I replay it, I'll rename him to Furious Wang).

I think the Special Edition part of the title denotes that it's available on PC (it wasn't, originally), and that there's some exclusive content.

Just to remind everyone complaining about the cost, that NW2 costs $20 on GOG and it came out a year after Jade Empire. Since there is no official cut-off point that would make a game "old" or "classic" in our parlance, we must accept the possibility that cca. post-2005 games will just come at a higher price range. GOG still hasn't given up the $6/10 price range for truly Good Old Games and they will without a doubt stick to it. In any case, I would prefer to have a game here, with all the extras, DRM-free and for a higher price, than to be bogged down by searching for a physical copy or buying it through Steam.

This Wang is furious because his brother Lo is the one who got to be the hero of Shadow Warrior, not him...

I can't discern the degree of seriousness in your post. Anyway, to me it looks like what I call "sale pricing": set the price higher so you can put it on bigger sales because customers are dumb dumb and value it higher if it's on a bigger sale. I think sale pricing is underestimating the customer, and if I think I'm being underestimated as a customer, I'll introduce contempt to the price equation to make sure the seller gets a worse deal from me than they would've otherwise.

I am far less interested about the money than the message.

OK, this picture with the main character and some flayed and hanged human corpses; I don't remember it from my playthroughs a couple of years ago. Is this a part of the Extended Edition?
I've always been curious about this game. Maybe I'll pick it up later and see what all the fuss is about. :)
