If you're going to claim that the US government is deliberately manipulating economic figures, you're going to need the data to back that up. If you don't, then nobody who has ever studied economics, history, or the social sciences should ever believe what you have to say. Unsubstantiated rumors and information are not becoming of people who claim that the US government lies.

There are many ways to interpret economic data as well, thus there are many conclusions that can be drawn about it and that wouldn't be considered manipulation. And it would be nice to know what methods can be used to deliberately manipulate inflation data that could pass the eyes of other economists.

Of course you can always make your own statistics but it is always important who collects the data and also what interests are behind it. Well enough economists are aware of the manipulation that are in the official inflation reporting.
