Hey

I wanted to try something new so I created a topic in the Unreal subforum. I will be playing Unreal 2 and after every mission i will try to post what i liked and didn't like and what my feelings are about the game. My intention is to create a discussion about the full game and it's parts (and not a general did you like it thread). I posted this here to create some awareness about the topic because without people helping in the discussion it would simply be a huge review or blog and that's not the intention.

Why Unreal 2? Well i just finished Unreal (and it's expansion) and was going to play Unreal 2 anyway. I wanted to do this for a while now and starting with a more or less simple game (available on gog.com) like unreal 2 seemed like a good place to start.

So if you would like to participate, please do. If you think my little experiment is stupid and has no place on gog.com please let me know and if enough people dislike it, it will be cut short and never talked about again ( i promise ;) )

Good idea, I'll read it for sure. I'm in the middle of Alone in the Dark series so I won't participate (if I leave Alone just after that Santa costume part, I know I'll never get back to it) but the idea is nice.

Glad to hear there is some interest and not an immidiate avalanche of negatieve reactions. Since i am on an ipad now i Will post a link to the topic in the subforum when I get home in an hour!

Thank you for the reaction ;). Yes the first Unreal was an amazing experience (damn i'm using a word that i don't really like when talking about a game) and the game still holds up to this day imo. I had just finished it again today for the I don't remember how many time. The discussion in the Unreal subforum is about Unreal 2 and the topic could use some more participants ;)

Oooooh, Bravo Screenfun, now that brings back memories.

I still have a few Screenfun cover discs. The discs were awesome, but the magazine itself was meh, so when they stopped putting full games on the discs, it was only a matter of time before the mag got shuttered.

Yeah that is a bit of an issue.

Also you mention spoilers: there are many in the topic, but i try to keep story spoilers to a minimum but since i will also state what i like or dislike about the story this will include some major unavoidable spoilers. But i guess that is Obvious if you read the purpose of the topic. Thank you for the interest!
