WickedKinetic This is definitely not going to happen in a million years. Even by some miracle we got just the OG port (that was done very poorly by Gearbox btw) it would be the inferior version. I'd like to see the entirety of MCC with just the single player intact, but this isn't going to happen. This is also Microsoft & they pride themselves on growing revenue through subscription based services like GamePass & MS account requirements.

DKapple I'd be happy just to have the original game tweaked to run on modern systems.
Pax-Christi I don't even want the MCC, just the original games released as standalone titles with 4K and mod support for all of them. Perhaps even "multiplayer" with bots, if that part isn't feasible.

JankJason There's absolutely no reason they should've at least release the old version of Halo 1 on GoG, people will still have a reason to by the Anniversary version.

VanCrusty 3 long years have past since my last comment and GOG is still Halo-less. We are not asking for the updated remasters that Microsoft is doing...just please give us old-school Halo 1 so that us old timers can get our nostalgia on.

Microsoft has been very considerate with Eldewrito, Installation 01, and they've even announced that Halo Infinite will be on PC. It shouldn't be too difficult to convince them a GoG release of Halo: Combat Evolved is worthwhile.

Lucky-Mia Wish I had my old disc but my ex kept it when I moved out.... One of the best single player campaigns around. I'd pick it up and play a few hours now and then like every year till loosing it. Hard to even find a copy of this jem that isn't on the Microsoft store. Please make the Halo that sparked a successful series available on GOG. I'd buy this in a snap.

axtonsmith14 Yo like its a son of a bitch to even buy a copy of this anymore. Nowadays you gotta look through amazon or ebay or whatever site may have it and not only is that a hassle, but with said hard copies of the games, the key that would be provided can only be used a certain amount of times( around 5 or so) and so what can happen is that by the time you get around to actually possessing said copy, you cant even use it. Having it available for digital purchase and download would make myself and a great deal of other people happy. Same for Halo 2, but we'll see what ever happens with it.

syscrusher Halo Combat Evolved is effectively in the public domain and a free, no-installation, version is at MyAbandonware.com. Interestingly, that site links to many GOG games for purchase. Since MyAbandonware.com has a deal with GOG, GOG should see about offering Halo Combat Evolved.
