out of all the age of empire games i have played the 4th one hands down playing it with friends is the most funnest version of age of empire. has a lot of great historic value referencing many things pretty accurately and depending who your playing as what faction can easily pave your way through certain skirmish maps lol. i would love to have GoG added to the classic vault for sure a great game that deserve its place like many great games should be. i also want to point out that if you love strategy type games age of empire 4 is worth playing.

Religion is important in the game and whether a faction is Muslim, Orthodox or Christian will affect allegiances and public loyalty – as a catholic nation the player must carry out the wishes of the Papal States, embarking on a holy war if need be or else run the risk of excommunication.
