Alien: Resurrection is another victim of circumstance. It was released in 2000 following four long years of development hell, overshadowed by the release of the Playstation 2 and the crappiness of the film. The game sold poorly, and played a part in the death of Argonaut games.
The game was criticised for its right stick look and left stick move controls, as quake controls were the norm at the time. A year later, Microsoft used this control format for their hit video game Halo: Combat Evolved. In the modern day, this makes the game a lot easier to control for newer players. The game itself is a masterclass in survival horror, with beautiful dynamic lighting and really goof sound design. The game deserves a remaster and/or a port to pc, to relive the vision that was.
