Sly 2: Band of Thieves
Sly 2: Band of ThievesSly 2: Band of Thieves is a stealth-action platformer developed by Sucker Punch Productions and released for PlayStation 2 in 2004. Players control Sly Cooper and his gang as they attempt to dismantle the Klaww Gang and recover the scattered parts of Clockwerk. The game expands on its predecessor with open-ended mission structures, multiple playable characters, and improved stealth mechanics. The story takes place two years after Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. In the first game, Sly was becoming a professional thief, but in Band of Thieves, he is a professional thief, so he retains all of the moves from the first game. He also earns new moves and gains different items to assist him in his dark craft. Players might start a level as Sly, and then after completing a particular task, players switch to Bentley, and Murray, respectively.

Kya: Dark Lineage
Kya: Dark LineageKya and her brother Frank have been transported into a different dimension, and upon arriving are separated! Kya meets (and is saved by) the native creatures of this world (known as the Nativs), however Frank is captured by a dangerous enemy known as the Wolfens under the rule of Brazul. To make matters worse, Kya learns that the Wolfens are actually the peaceful Nativs which have been captured and transformed, and Brazul is actually her long lost father! Kya must now embark on a quest to rescue her brother as well as find a way to restore the Wolfen to their Nativ form and defeat Brazul. Kya: Dark Lineage is an action adventure game. You control Kya and need to explore the colorful world she's arrived in. This strange world consists of various floating islands with many tunnels, platforms, dangerous life forms, and other obstacles. Powerful winds blow around many areas, and you'll often need to use the winds to your advantage by floating in them through tunnels, over gaps or slowing your descent in a free fall. There is some puzzle solving as well; you'll need to locate objects to use, hop on various platforms, buy items in the Nativ city, and more to reach new areas. You'll also need to fight often, as the Wolfen are numerous and can found guarding many areas you need to get through. You can fight with your fists as well as items that can be acquired (such as various boomies, or boomerangs, and fighting bracelets). After defeating a Wolfen, you can use a magic spell to transform it back to its Nativ form which will then return back to the Nativ city. Upon returning to the city, many of the Nativs will then open up a shop; as new shops are opened, you will have the opportunity to buy new items and power ups to help on your quest. Alternatively, some Nativs may instead build a challenge in the city instead of opening a shop. You can earn money by betting and completing challenge objectives (or you can simply practice a challenge). As you progress through the game, the story will unfold until you are (hopefully) successful in your quest!

Ikaruga
IkarugaIn this vertical scrolling spaceship shooter, you control a ship that can change its polarity at will. As blue/white, the ship can easily destroy red/black enemies, and vice versa. Bullets of your polarity can be collected to fuel your energy gauge, but those opposite will kill you. Destroying an enemy ship causes them to fire revenge bullets which can be absorbed and fired back by the player. Different difficulties exist to change exactly how you interact with polarized points, or how they appear. It is the spiritual successor to Radiant Silvergun, featuring similar level and boss design, as well as it's buddhism inspired themes and aesthetics. Both are directed by Hiroshi Iuchi, who also composed Ikaruga's soundtrack.

Rayman 3 HD
Rayman 3 HDRayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is the third major game in the Rayman series, and the sequel to Rayman 2. Rayman 3 was released in 2003. Like its immediate predecessor, it is a 3D platformer. However, Rayman 3's levels are more straightfoward and oriented towards action and combat rather than platforming and exploration. The main campaign of Rayman 3 is temporally linear – unlike the previous games, where Rayman could physically return to completed locations, each Rayman 3 level is visited only once within the storyline. The overall reception of the game was poorer than that of Rayman 2. It is notable for being the first Rayman game not directed by series creator Michel Ancel, who was occupied with the development of Beyond Good & Evil at the time. Ancel played a small role in the development of Rayman 3, assisting the team in various areas (such as Rayman's new look) and meeting with them to brainstorm ideas for characters and environments. Rayman 3 features a points-based scoring system; another first for the series. Players could post their final scores on the then-new RaymanZone website. However, this function was disabled when RaymanZone was retooled to suit the Raving Rabbids games. In February 2009, members of the Rayman Pirate-Community contacted Ubisoft and successfully arranged for the creation of a new Hall of Fame.[1] In July 2011, the PC version of the game joined Rayman Forever and Rayman 2 on the digital distribution network Good Old Games. In March 2012, a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version titled Rayman 3 HD was released, with improved textures, framerate, lighting and audio quality.
