Army Men 3D

Army Men 3D (1999)

by The 3DO Company
Genres:Arcade
Themes:Action, Warfare
Game modes:Single player
Story:The little plastic army men you played with as a child are toys no longer! They are now living beings bent on destruction. Of course, you get to play an integral role in the conflict as Sarge, a sergeant (you were expecting another rank?) in the Green Army. While your objectives vary with each mission, the goal is to defeat the evil Tan Army using a little strategy and a lot of firepower. Since you'll also have to confront members of the Blue and Gray armies, you are essentially outnumbered three to one! Roll, duck, kneel, and cycle through your available weapons as you try to complete the objectives detailed at the beginning of each level. Missions range from search-and-destroy to rescue or reconnaissance operations, and you'll even drive one of four vehicles during the battles. Units include versions of six classic toys: Rifle Man, Grenadier, Bazooka Man, Mortar Man, Flamethrower, and Minesweeper.Show more

Coming home from Hollywood video with this game because what kid in pre 2000's didn't play with plastic army men and see this game and not go :O It was a really fun game. The controls weren't the greatest from what I remember but it was such an addicting game especially when you start torching enemies and watch them melt.
What a time I spent with my ps1 playing army men 3d, I didn't know how to save the game. And I spent it restarting over and over again playing the same scenarios and one of the best modes the local two player, played hours with my younger brother and never had the opportunity to reach the end, and I would spend back to play this childhood game.

BombermanBomberman is a 1990 action maze video game developed by Hudson Soft for the TurboGrafx-16. Belonging to the Bomberman franchise, it is a greatly expanded re-imagining of the first game in the series. In Europe, the game was released for the MS-DOS, Amiga and Atari ST, retitled as Dyna Blaster due to the European mainstream media associating the original title with terrorist bombings. A Commodore 64 version was advertised as well but never released.

Blur
BlurMade by the masters behind Project Gotham Racing and Metropolis Street Racer, Blur is a racing project by Bizarre Creations that aims to take arcade-style action and realistic driving physics to a whole new level. The game drops players into heart-pumping, electrified racing action with 20 cars on a track all targeting the finish line and battling each other as they trade paint and collect intense power-ups, including the ability to blast other cars out of the way with huge bursts of energy, boost their speed, and more. While controlling photo-realistic cars, gamers can use offensive and defensive attacks as they battle for the lead and careen through real-world track locations ranging from L.A. and San Francisco to the streets of Hackney, UK and the treacherous roads of Barcelona, Spain.

Conan the Barbarian
Conan the BarbarianThis game began life as "King Arthur's Adventure" before Astrovision secured the Conan the Barbarian license. The game was advertised during 1981-1982 but was never released at the time. It later changed name again, this time to Quest For The Orb. Neither Quest for the Orb would see a release as Astrovision/Astrocade hit financial troubles. Eventually a working prototype made its way to Dave Carson Software in 1985 and was released under the Conan the Barbarian name.

Fire Truck
Fire TruckPlayers must cooperate to drive the truck through traffic as far as possible without crashing. While the game can be played with one player, it was primarily designed for two. The front player steers the tractor of the truck sitting down, controlling the gas and brakes, while the rear player stands, and steers the tiller for the rear wheels, controlling the swing of the trailer. The cabinet also provides the players with bells and horns, although these have no use in the actual game.

Buster Bros.
Buster Bros.Pang, originally released in Japan as Pomping World and known in North America as Buster Bros., is a 1989 action game released by Mitchell Corporation for arcades in 1989. The basic gameplay is identical to a 1983 Japanese MSX computer game called Cannon Ball (also released in 1983 on the ZX Spectrum as Bubble Buster). In the game, players must finish a round-the-world quest to destroy bouncing balloons that are terrorising several of Earth's landmarks and cities. There are 50 stages at 17 locations: Mt. Fuji, Mt. Keirin, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Angkor Wat, Ayers Rock, the Taj Mahal, Leningrad, Paris, London, Barcelona, Athens, Egypt, Kenya, New York, Maya ruins, Antarctica, and finally Easter Island. Each location has a unique background that shows the area's most famous landmarks. The stages contain a different layout of blocks, some that disappear after being shot, others that do not, and still others that are hidden and can reveal bonuses. The stages start with differing numbers and sizes of balloons. The largest balloon divides for the first three times it is popped; after the fourth and smallest balloon is popped it vanishes. Each player starts with a single harpoon. When a balloon is popped, special weapons may drop down. At a certain point in the stage, a food item will drop down that is worth several thousand bonus points. If a player touches a balloon of any size, the player dies and both players must start the stage again. When both players touch a balloon at the same time, only Player 1 will lose a life but this is somewhat offset because when both players reach a bonus or weapon simultaneously only Player 1 will get it. Players start with 3-5 lives depending on the dip switch setting. Extra lives are also given when certain point totals have been accumulated. The stage ends when all of the balloons are successfully cleared. The game ends after all stages have been completed and our heroic duo ride their jeep into the sunset on an Easter Island beach. In some later versions, there are more than 17 locations.
