This was one of the few games I had access to as a child. I played it repeatedly. Even to this day I quote it, the opening scene, riding in the back of the canopied truck through a cow pasture, "Ahhh, I love that smell, smells like home."
In my opinion, CoD3 was the series at its peak. The game was driven by story, it made you feel like you truly were on the frontlines. I would spend hours fighting my way up-hill toward an enemy bunker, fighting for every inch of ground I could gain. As soon as I reached the top, I would play it again, just to be immersed once more.
It's truly a shame this game isn't more widely available, it's simply fading into little more than a memory held by players like myself. I've searched high and low for this game, and short of investing in an original Xbox and a disk of CoD3, there's no way I can find to relive these glorious memories.
