This little pinball game was fun, addictively fun. It was released in 1993 but I had college roommates playing it as incessantly as I would roughly 10 years later!
At first glance it doesn't really seem to stand out against other pinball games that were out there at the time (with Epic Pinball being the elephant in the room in this case). However, you'll notice a bit more care seems to have gone into this game than others from the same era to the point that it feels like it could have be a real pinball game in an arcade somewhere and not just an computerized approximation of one.
For example, you could actually "nudge" the machine (the default key mapping for which was the space bar IIRC). However, do it too much and, just like a real pinball machine, you will trigger a tilt state rending the machine inactive until the current ball until it falls down into the return hole.
In addition to the greatness of the game itself was its manual. Not only did it spell out the rules of the game and the ultimate goal (i.e. to retrieve the Holy Grail like in so many other Arthurian stories) as one would expect but it also laid out basic pinball techniques. Imagine that, a manual helping with your further enjoyment of a game by suggesting strategies to help you get really good at it! If GOG picks up this title, including the a digital copy of the original manual is an absolute must for this reason alone in my opinion.
