I first played Dark Sector on PS3 when I was younger, but I barely remembered it. Recently, I gave it another shot when it was offered for free, and my god, such a hidden gem. Despite its old-school mechanics and kinda clunky controls, it holds up surprisingly well, the difficulty is the cherry on top, Dark Sector is amazing!
Oh, darkSector... it needed more of an audience. Like most, I found out about it after playing Warframe, but it's one fun ride. To think there's a timeline out there where this was successful enough to be turned into a franchise... Also, it's just cool as hell to toss a glaive, give it an elemental infusion, and slice off the heads of your enemies.

This game was served as a predecessor to their currently active online co-op game Warframe, although their PC port felt poorly playable despite the game was already ported here by fellow Russian gaming company as Digital Extremes previously intended.

I remember borrowing this title from a friend. It was really cool. There's just something inherently awesome about throwing an organically grown bladed frisbee... And then it gets better with the Aftertouch ability that lets you control that bladed frisbee midhflight and in slow motion. Add in some elemental effect as a cherry on top and enjoy the results.

I love the moment when Hayden say "This is a dark sector, so I will need to put up some Frame of War" 10/10 absolute cinema Joke aside, thanks to the free giveaway on steam, this game got me hooked, and i mean, HOOKED to Warframe now. If we can get a version of GOG, then DE will have no choice but to made Dark Sector Canon (hopefully)

Played this on Xbox 360 and it was great. Also got the game on Steam for FREE last year. It's not really superior. Because CD Projekt Black/Porting House screwed up the Widescreen resolutions and the post processing crap. I'm fine that multiplayer is absent. All I asked is for the game to be polished up a bit and Achievements included. Also the Nvidia PhysX is broken. So if you have already installed Nvidia PhysX Legacy Driver, UNINSTALL IT and USE the provided ones from the game. The uninstall it and then reinstall the Nvidia PhysX Legacy Driver back on. It's weird, but that is how you get this game running on Steam. Even SteamStub DRM is a b!tch to deal with without Steamless.

Before "Warframe" there was this overlooked game from the 7th generation. This game isn't anything that special by any means, but it has a good artstyle and has solid gameplay. But what really sold me was the oversized Shuriken and how well you could aim it to not only hit multiple enemies but also engage with some minor puzzles. It was satisfying. Would love to see it on GOG!
It's ahead of its time. Difficult as all heck with a good storyline to match the challenge of combat. The hook is the tri-blade, but there is a stealth component.
Those games also need your vote!
Wolfenstein
WolfensteinWolfenstein is the direct sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Spear of Destiny/Wolfenstein RPG. It featured a "re-imagined" disguised dark-haired B.J. Blazkowicz, retaining the unshaven look seen in Return to Castle Wolfenstein and dressed in civilian clothes rather than his usual military uniform. The game mainly consists of the player shooting his way through hordes of different types of Nazis, ranging from normal soldier to ninjas. To deal with the large amount of enemies, the player has access to many typical WWII-weapons like the German MP40 or K98 rifle. In addition, during the course of the game he finds the medallion and learns four powers. While at first entering the Veil only allows him so see enemies more clearly and use strange flying creatures as bombs, he is later able to slow down time, surround himself with a protective shield or make himself stronger. However, the medallion's powers drain its energy, which needs to be refilled at power-spots that are nearly invisible in the real world.
