Since the PC Version never got the Offline Mode, which the Console Versions have, this would be neat to have on GOG. And having Reaper of Souls as an optional separate Download would also be great.

DIABLO III NEEDS AN OFFLINE MODE, THE CONSOLES HAVE IT AND BLIZZARD IS BLIND TO THE PC USERS!!! FOR THIS GAME TO BE PRESERVED IT NEEDS OFFLINE MODE ON PC! GOG TEAM PLEASE DO YOUR BEST TO PRESERVE THIS GAME
Putting Diablo 3 on GOG (or any storefront that doesn't require me to download Battle.net and/or use some always online DRM) would be fantastic. I've never experienced this game before and a big reason is because I don't want to deal with the hassle.

So . . . I want this game on GOG as much as the next person, but how are you gonna give it an OFFLINE mode? I heard the only way to do it is to reverse engineer, but I have no idea why. Did Blizzard lose the source code to their own game or something? Anyway, if somehow Diablo 3 can get an offline version with Reaper of Souls too, that would be amazing and the game could be preserved for the future!
For me, this game marked the ever so sad transition from the heights of Diablo II, to the live-service entities that became Diablo III and IV. Despite being a huge fan of Diablo I and II, I couldn't bring myself to financially support the always-online single-player model that was being forced upon us. We were told that this was necessary to combat piracy, but felt like a kick in the teeth to those of us who had happily supported Blizzard in the past. The later inclusion of in-game monetization would place considerable doubt on the supposed motivations to go always-online, but it made little difference to me. Make a single player game that's good enough to buy, treat your customers with respect (staff, too, would be nice), let it be played offline, from a storefront I like and trust, and I'll be glad to buy from Blizzard again. Diablo II and it's expansion, Throne of Bhaal, were the last Blizzard games I ever purchased, 24 years ago (GOG re-releases notwithstanding). I'll wait for as long as it takes. In the meantime, plenty of other studios I'm happy to buy from.

Such a fun game! I used to play all the time on both PS3 and PS4, and still play on Switch. Got introduced to it back in 2014, and to this day, Demon Hunter with wolf pack armor, acid rapid fire, rapid fire bolas, and wolf companion is one of my favorite builds of any of the games. I even made a season druid in a similar vain as an homage to that build I had years ago.

will never forget the absolute disappointment i felt in middle school buying the battle chest at retail for my laptop. only for it to not work at all because i lived in a location with little to no internet. eventually i did play the console versions offline, but making a offline version for the pc itself would be like righting a grievous wrong 14 year old me felt so many moons ago
just tried a short period of a mission when I visited my friend, I really want to play the whole games, need to know the battle systems and the whole stories, and the characters

this game is absolutely awful tbh. Diablo 3 has completely removed itself from the series roots and is generally just hot garbage. Diablo 1 is the best of the aesthetic, and Diablo 2 is the best of the gameplay.

for preservation this would be nice. Be aware however, that it was made for gamepads that don't exist anymore. Wioth your standard XBox or Ps gamepad you probably won't be able to run diagonally. And it will react badly to analog triggers when you try to remap buttons. Best woudl be to have a early 2000s gamepad spare. The savegame can be imported to Lego Star Wars 2 btw, unlocking all characters and vehicles that you collected during this game. "The Complete Saga" clearly contains the better version of this game, but it misses some unlockables and the hub.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's RequiemEternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is a psychological horror action adventure, released in 2002 by Nintendo for the Gamecube. It tells the stories of twelve characters that span across the world and two millennia who have to deal with ancient forces of evil which have been trying to manifest themselves in our world. Chapters take place in Ancient Rome, Persia, the Middle East, and modern-day Rhode Island. Throughout the game, the protagonists will have access to several weapons appropriate for their era, from bastard sword & gladius to flintlock pistol and shotgun. The game features an involved Magic system, which allows different spells to be created through the combination of runes. These spells can attack enemies, dispel illusions, and heal both the body and items. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem also has a unique feature called Sanity. If an enemy sees a character, their Sanity meter drops. When Sanity gets low, hallucinations begin to plague the character. Walls bleed, voices whisper from nowhere, the camera gets disoriented. Sanity can be restored by dealing a finishing move on a dying enemy, or with spells or some items.

Silent Hill: Homecoming
Silent Hill: HomecomingSilent Hill: Homecoming is the sixth installment in the Silent Hill survival horror series. The gameplay is the same as it's previous entries, where the player searches for objects and uses weapons to defend against grotesque monsters while solving puzzles to advance further into the game. In terms of combat, the player is able to perform light and heavy attacks or mix them to perform combinations. For the first time in the series, the player may select responses when engaging in dialogue with other characters encountered in the game, which in turn may affect how the player sees the plot unfold.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Silent Hill: Shattered MemoriesSilent Hill: Shattered Memories is the seventh installment in the Silent Hill survival horror series, and a stand-alone reimagining of the original Silent Hill video game. Once again, you will cast Harry Mason searching across the haunted town for his missing daughter Cheryl. Through his exploration, Harry will come across objects and recordings that tell some of the history of Silent Hill. New to the series are a depiction of Silent Hill's demonic alter-dimension as a world of ice, and the removal of weapons from the game: when the monsters come out, Harry must literally run for his life. Between scenes, the game will cut to a psychiatrist's office, who asks personal questions about Harry and his past experiences. The game will then alter itself based on the player's responses, changing characters and lines of dialog to something intended to be more personally uncomfortable.

Silent Hill: Origins
Silent Hill: OriginsSilent Hill: Origins is the fifth installment in the Silent Hill survival horror series, and a prequel to the original game. As in the previous entries, the player move back and forth between nightmare and real versions of the town, gathering items used to solve puzzles and open up new areas. Monsters of various types provide obstacles and, in series tradition, are mostly disturbingly twisted versions of humanity. The main character can fight with his bare fists or use melee weapons. Unlike previous games in the series, melee weapons break after a time. There are also one-shot items that can be thrown and several guns. There is no HUD, but the edge of the screen turns red when the protagonist is near death.

Silent Hill: Downpour
Silent Hill: DownpourSilent Hill: Downpour is the eighth Silent Hill video game installment and the last fully-released video game in the series. Just like its predecessors, Downpour combines exploring abandoned surroundings, talking to characters, and solving puzzles, set against a slow, psychological horror theme. Different from the previous game Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is the return of combat. The player often has to fight off monsters using a variety of weapons, but he can carry only one melee and one ranged weapon who can deteriorate over time. Entirely new to the series is the introduction of a weather system: there is a full day and night cycle and rain often warns the player of danger that is approaching. It is possible to hide until the weather becomes better again.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainMetal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the sequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and a prequel to the original Metal Gear. The game has a complex story with long cut-scene sequences, but there are fewer and they are shorter compared to earlier Metal Gear Solid titles. Most of the gameplay mechanics introduced in Ground Zeroes are carried over: it is still an action game and stealth oriented but replaces the linear corridor design from most earlier titles with large open world environments that offer the player unrestricted freedom for the approach. The world has now a real-time day and night cycle and various weather effects that influence enemy behaviour, visibility and sound. Sabotaging or destroying certain structures can also influence other parts of the map.
