Cydonia: Mars - The First Manned Mission
Cydonia: Mars - The First Manned MissionEarth is dying, you, the player must save it by succeeding in the colonization of Mars. This is an adventure game that looks a lot like Cryo's brand, meaning 3D pre-calculated graphisms, with smooth transition when moving from place to place, plus of course, the obligatory full-motion cut-scenes. The art is impeccably done and up to the standards of the release year (1998). Upon arriving on Mars, however, the landing module hits an unexpected force-field and crashes, and that's where the adventure begins. The first puzzles are quite easy; they consist of saving the module and the two other humans aboard from the shipwreck and the subsequent fire, all the necessary hints being given to you by one of your shipmates. However, after that point, puzzles are way more difficult, as they consist (at first at least) of exploring remains of an alien civilization, with thought processes "alien" to human players.

Earthworm Jim 1 & 2: The Whole Can 'O Worms
Earthworm Jim 1 & 2: The Whole Can 'O WormsThe bundle contains the two 2D-Shoot-and-runs featuring Earthworm Jim in his space suit. It has been release for Windows and Linux. A 25th anniversary Edition, limited to 2000 copies, has been released for SNES. Jim wasn't always a studly super-worm. He was once just a spineless, dirt-eater with no real mission in his life... But then something unexpected happened. The evil Psy-Crow was transporting a super suit, built by the genius Professor Monkey-For-A-Head, to Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-Filled, Malformed, Slug-For-A-Butt, but along the way it was stolen by a rebel. Although Psy-Crow killed the rebel, the suit fell down to Earth, landing on an Earth Worm. That cosmic twist of fate placed Jim in control of an ultra-high-tech-indestructible-super-space-cyber-suit. Anyway, Earthworm Jim found out that Princess What's-Her-Name had been captured and set out to save her. Meanwhile, there's a bounty on Jimmy and plenty of people are in line to take Queen Slug-For-A-Butt up on her offer. Now Jim must make it to the princess and stay clear of Psy-Crow, the intergalactic bounty hunter, until the final battle with Queen Slug-For-A-Butt. To accomplish this, you'll have to use every weapon and ability at your disposal to wriggle your way through dozens of original and just plain weird levels. Diverse levels and gameplay modes that provide an unmatched platforming experience Great music and amusing sound effects Loads of good humor and fun, often bordering on the disturbing

Ambermoon
AmbermoonAmbermoon is the second game in Thalion's never-finished Amber trilogy that was started out by Amberstar. The sequel is set more than half a century after the first game, the world of Lyramion just starting to recover from the destruction caused by the collapse of the red moon. The original protagonist is an old, dying man as the game starts out. He summons his grandchild and tells him about a vision he had, of an old friend who supposedly died more than forty years ago and warned him of a great evil rising again. He sends the youth on a quest to seek that old friend and find out what is behind that vision. Concerning gameplay, Ambermoon is similar to its predecessor. The player initially controls only the main character, having the choice between a male and a female protagonist with several portraits each, but otherwise unable to customize them at that point. During the course of the game, additional characters may be recruited in various places in Lyramion; up to six form an active party that participates in combat. All characters can train physical attributes by specific NPCs in various towns, while some can also buy, learn, and cast offensive, supportive, and healing magic spells.
