My all-time favourite RPG. Slow-paced classic gameplay in a wonderful world. Would be a great addition to the GOG library, the first Drakensang is already here.
One of my favorite classic RPG games together with its predecessor. The game play may seems a bit slow compared to modern standards but therefore most of the quests are better written with better humor than in most modern games. I still have the original ROMs of both Drakensang games & the first one GOG. So why not add this too and make it easy playable again.
The follow-on to Drakensang. I found the River of Time to be more polished. It has great writing with decent graphics and combat. The world was a refreshing change from most fantasy RPGs. Character choice made a difference - play as a thief and raid the warehouse, play as a guard and stop the thieves from raiding that warehouse. The essential question for me is: Did I have fun playing the game? Yes, yes I did. I still have my disks and would love to play it again.
The first Drakensang was good, this prequel is brilliant.
This is the closest I ever felt to replaying the old-school, heroic tabletop RPG's I used to love as a kid.
"Drakensang: The River of Time" is an underrated gem that deserves a place on GOG.
It offers a fantastic RPG experience similar to NWN2 with a beautifully crafted world rich in lore and a unique low-magic setting based on the German "The Dark Eye" (Das Schwarze Auge) system.
Since the first Drakensang is already on GOG, adding The River of Time and its expansion "Phileasson's Secret" would complete the series and allow more players to enjoy this great RPG. Hope to see it here soon! :)
Panorama TohPanorama Toh (ぱのらま島 "Panorama Island"), released by Nihon Falcom for the NEC PC-8801 computer in 1983, departed from the standard RPG formula in various ways. It combined RPG gameplay with real-time combat, combined fantasy with sci-fi elements, and introduced survival mechanics.
The game was designed by Yoshio Kiya, this was possibly the first action RPG. These innovative ideas about RPG design departed significantly from the turn-based norm at the time. It introduced real-time combat, sci-fi elements, a persistent open world with day-night cycle, and survival mechanics. This was a precursor to Falcom's seminal action RPG franchise, Dragon Slayer. Path of Exile 2The story component of Path of Exile's free 4.0 update, currently planned for release in December of 2020. The update will add a second campaign option to the game with 7 planned acts at launch.
There are also a number of major changes to the core game, which will affect both campaigns, like the currently announced redesign of the skill system, the addition of 19 more ascendancy classes and how ascendancy classes are unlocked.
This update will be released alongside a seasonal league which is what the update is usually named after.
A lot of changes and additions were announced for the skill gem system, items will now have a set number of sockets for active gems and those gems are where support gems are equiped.
There will be a separate menu screen for skill gems to make it easier to view and manage gems.
There will be a default of 9 active gem sockets available from standard items, 2 from each item in hand (4 for a 2-handed item), 2 from body armors, 1 from helms, gloves and boots. Specific rings, amulets and unique items will still add additional sockets or gems to the new skill gem menu.
Active gems can have up to 5 support gem sockets based on the gems item level with available sockets linked by default.
A new gem class, currently called meta gems, will allow both active and support gems to be socketed on them, curse on hit and cast on crit support gems would be changed to these meta gems.
Jeweler and Chromatic orbs will now be used on active/meta gems to customize the available support sockets and fusing orbs will be removed from the gameAction Fantasy
