DT2 as well as DT2-2, presentation aside, easily wrestle with the best of the genre easily from a mechanical perspective. These entries don't need to hide behind the likes of SMT:SJ or Etrian Odyssey, which speaks for itself. Due to the steam ban only obscure store fronts are currently available. Further, DT2 is otherwise locked behind Vita exclusivity while DT2-2 is entirely unavailable in English full stop, outside of its recent PC release. I'd pick up a DRM copy of these in a heartbeat.

Hard as heck dungeon crawler with cute girls that desperately needs a drm free release. Very quickly I love how the dungeons start having all sorts of traps in the dungeon, holes in the ground, and in general things that complicate the exploration process. Solid Vita title that currently is only available on PC on a store with awful DRM.

after 130 hours in the vita version, I like the way this game hurts me, making progress is cruel and sometimes soul crushing but winning against the last boss is something special

One of the best dungeon crawlers ever! 💓 Love this game on my Vita. A GOG release of Dungeon Travelers 2-2 would be a dream come true. The world needs more Dungeon Travelers!

Easily one of the best DRPGs ever made. Scantily clad girls aside... the mechanics, your party, and build variety are truly insane. I can't emphasize the level of variety enough, and no matter how you build yourself, this game is never easy. I had over 200 hours on my original save on the Vita. Went for the endgame superbosses and everything. I would gladly buy this game again. With or without DRM. The only other storefront I'm aware that has this masterpiece available doesn't even accept payments most of the time.

I own this on the Vita, and I will cheerfully buy it again should it become available here. Heck, I bought the first game on steam (and they had to release it as an adult game, despite it NOT being one) and I would re-buy it here if it would help get them all available. It is a very solid dungeon crawler that has the misfortune of also having an anime art style with the occasional bikini/panty shot, which means that OF COURSE steam had to ban it. The game hits all the needed notes with dungeon crawlers, with the addition of really needing to balance your team, farm monsters for boosts, and pick the right character upgrades. Couple that with a good voice cast and there's a winner. The only place it is available on PC in English has the most regressive DRM I have ever seen (three installs and you rebuy? Seriously?). Scuttlebutt among fans suggests that Aquaplus (the JP publisher) vetoed anything but steam, so someone at GoG would need to talk to them to confirm that. It is already translated and available, just not in an acceptable form.

Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst
Phantasy Star Online: Blue BurstPhantasy Star Online: Blue Burst, a port of the Xbox version, was released for Microsoft Windows in 2004 through digital distribution, featuring both Episode I and Episode II, and adding a new Episode IV, NPCs, quests, team system, and server-side saving system. The Phantasy Star Online titles are a sub-series of Sega's Phantasy Star series of games that began in 1987. With the exception of Episode III, the PSO games themselves are hack and slash role-playing games where the player slays monsters, levels up, buys new equipment, etc. The online Phantasy Stars differ from the previous games of the series by offering a real-time – rather than turn-based – approach to combat, seamlessly integrating this with exploration and plot developments.

Shin Megami Tensei II
Shin Megami Tensei IIFifty years have passed since the hero of Shin Megami Tensei followed the neutral path, defeated the leaders of Law and Chaos, and founded a state where followers of both ideologies could live freely. But his reign of freedom doesn't last long. The Messian faith gains power, expanding the Cathedral into a new enclosed environment named Tokyo Millennium. The Gaians rise up, but their rebellion is repressed by the Messians' elite warrior class, the Temple Knights. People flock into the encapsulated city, submitting themselves to the strict hierarchy imposed by the Messian Center, where only the privileged living in the Center district are safe from demonic assaults. A few years later, a retired arena fighter Okamoto rescues a man named Hawk, who was fighting for his life against a demon. He trains him to fight in the arena of the Valhalla district, hoping that he would win the tournament, which will grant them both citizenship in the Center district. When Hawk succeeds, he is brought before a Messian bishop, and learns the shocking truth about his own origins and the role he is supposed to play in the grand scheme of events. A new battle for a better future begins. Shin Megami Tensei II retains all the gameplay features of the previous game. The player is able to summon demons, fuse them to create more powerful ones, make them participate in battles, talk to random enemies and receive information from them, etc. The combat is turn-based, and the player explores the complex, maze-like dungeons from a first-person perspective view. Like in the first game, the Law, Chaos, and Neutral alignments play an important role: during the course of the game, the player will have to make choices that influence the alignment of the protagonist, steering the storyline into different directions. New features include a "magic succession" system, which allows demons to carry over their original magic spells when they are fused into new ones, a few additional spells and abilities, and the possibility to play at the casino and win unique items.

Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II PlusSEGA re-released in 2003 an updated version of Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003 called Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus. Early in the effort to run unsigned code on the GameCube, people found that when playing PSO and connecting to a server using the GameCube Broadband Adapter, a regular PC could be made to pretend it was a server which would fool the game. After making the connection, data could be streamed back to the GameCube, making it easy for hacking and false servers. Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus was created in mind to fix this problem. Along with this problem, SEGA included extra content for offline with this game including: - Episode II Challenge Mode, which was perviously only online. - Perviously Online only quests, Seat of the Heart, West Tower and East Tower are now available offline. - Central Dome Fire Swirl, a downloadable quest for the Xbox, is now available offline. - The downloadable goods from Fake in Yellow quest are now available offline. Aside from some extra cheat protection, Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus ran exactly the same as the original version and all data from characters, items, ect, can be swapped between the two instantly.
