Did you ever go "What if Evil Genius, but it was also Stargate SG-1?"? Me Either, but these developers clearly did. And it kinda works, you build you're base up and send people through the Not-Stargate to do missions and bring back materials and other things. Now if only someone would do a Stargate XCom-like.
it reminds me a little of x-com, stargate, all rolled into one game, with sg teams going off world exploring and bringing the tech back they were suppose to....
