a flight simulator that served as a giant commercial for the new fighter, featuring an actual commercial for the new fighter (it's a cut scene where the jet is placed on a platform like it's at some sort of expo. some spot lights shine on it and an announcer reads off its stats and specs--"Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, and Pratt & Whitney, proudly present the F-22 Raptor: Air Dominance Fighter!").
the score was probably the best part of the game, doing its best to sound sound cinematic with only about three or four midi voices, and only two or three tracks max for the whole game.
had a really hard time completing the missions but using a joystick on that game felt really cool. i basically used amrams on everything, the sidewinders and guns never worked, added jdams even when there weren't ground targets, tried using chaffs but i got shot down all the time regardless.
idk, dcs will probably give you a more authentic experience, but if you don't have 1tb of disk space and want something a little more simplified, i think it might be worth it to revisit this with some qol updates. bump up the resolution, provide widescreen support, allow custom key binding and controller support--could be neat.
