Played on the NES back in the day with my Dad, we had sheets and SHEETS of paper with the long safe game codes you had to type in. I remember it so well I can draw you the first level layout.. Also most importantly .. Tell me the arms of the shop/trader man do NOT look like loaves of bread XD

This was the first game that kept me up all night (and got me in trouble with my parents) to beat it. And then, a week later, I did it again! LOL I absolutely love this game and haven't seen it anywhere since its original release.

Wild Arms XFWild Arms XF is a 2D turn-based tactical role-playing game, creating a gameplay experience somewhere between Dungeons & Dragons and chess. Players are given control of a small squad of characters (six or less) and placed on a grid-based map resembling a geographical location (a swamp, a town, a river), upon which they fight battles to progress through the game. As with most T/RPGs, positional advantage can be critical to victory, and players are encouraged to outmaneuver their enemies as well as outgun them. The game emphasizes positioning and maneuvering by the inclusion of "Formation Arts," which increase attack damage when an enemy is surrounded by your characters in a line, a triangle or a circle. Wild Arms XF is a member of the small subsection of T/RPGs whose battlefields are based around hexagonal tiles instead of squares. "Combination Arts" return from previous Wild ARMs titles, allowing characters to target an enemy in a waiting state and then deliver their attacks simultaneously with the next ally to attack their target. If the player succeeds in executing an uninterrupted series of commands, the damage inflicted upon enemies will increase significantly. On the other hand, the enemy gets the same advantage.

The game features a large variety of game play and freedom, allowing a player to shape the world around and the characters appearance and moral standing based on decisions throughout the game. The player can also get married both same and opposite sex and bring up children to childhood but no farther, expressions are a lot more interactive with NPC's than before

Happyland AdventuresHappyLand Adventures is a platforming game with puzzle elements. In HappyLand Adventures you play as a rabbit running around saving small animal like creatures called happylanders. When you touch them, they start following you around. These creatures are often hidden on the map, and it requires you to explore each map to find them all. Once you have one (or more) you can drop them off at specialized safe zones. If you die, any happylanders following you will be returned to their original location. In order to finish a level you must drop off a certain amount of happylanders. When you have done so a message will tell you that the level exit is open Along the way you meet people that you can talk to in order to get hints as to where to go next in order to proceed through the level. You can also pick up fruits that you find to gain more points, and hearts that function as a health bar. Each enemy you hit will take one heart away, if you hit an enemy when you have no hearts left you will die. You are out to rescue the happylanders, small animal like creatures. Rescuing these will rid the world of evilness. As a nice bonus, the download includes a level editor you can use to create your own levels, and you can download extra ones from the game's website. Thumbs up for this charming freeware underdog.
