Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II PlusSEGA re-released in 2003 an updated version of Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003 called Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus.
Early in the effort to run unsigned code on the GameCube, people found that when playing PSO and connecting to a server using the GameCube Broadband Adapter, a regular PC could be made to pretend it was a server which would fool the game.
After making the connection, data could be streamed back to the GameCube, making it easy for hacking and false servers. Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus was created in mind to fix this problem. Along with this problem, SEGA included extra content for offline with this game including:
- Episode II Challenge Mode, which was perviously only online.
- Perviously Online only quests, Seat of the Heart, West Tower and East Tower are now available offline.
- Central Dome Fire Swirl, a downloadable quest for the Xbox, is now available offline.
- The downloadable goods from Fake in Yellow quest are now available offline.
Aside from some extra cheat protection, Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus ran exactly the same as the original version and all data from characters, items, ect, can be swapped between the two instantly.Action Fantasy Science fiction Sandbox
Phantasy Star GaidenPhantasy Star Gaiden is a Sega Game Gear released as part of the Phantasy Star franchise. It was only released in Japan.
Phantasy Star Gaiden plays pretty much like any other Phantasy Star starting with the second game: both towns and dungeons are in top-down view, the turn-based battles are viewed from first-person perspective. Phantasy Star CollectionPhantasy Star Collection is a compilation of Phantasy Star games that was released on the Game Boy Advance on November 26, 2002 in the United States and in March 2003 in Europe. Phantasy Star IIGameplay is similar to the original Phantasy Star, the first game in the series. Phantasy Star NovaPhantasy Star Nova will be set in the same world as Phantasy Star Online 2 but will drop many of the online elements and take on a much more single player approach. If the idea of playing without your friends sounds horrifying, the game will include 4-player co-cop play.
The title takes place on Planet Machia, a planet where 'Photon' energy is useless. Without the ability to recover energy or upgrade your weapons, players must take survival into their own hands, exploring the planet of Machia and unlocking the secrets it has to offer.
The creatures inhabiting Machia are giant beasts appropriately named 'Gigantes.' In order to take these massive brutes down, you'll need to find and hit their weak spots together with your allies.
Sega also implemented tweaks based off the Phantasy Star Nova battle demo into the game. After the first demo, tri-Ace increased character movement speed by 1.4x, reduced input delay, fixed issues with locking on to enemies, and fine tuned the speed of the camera, among other improvements.Action Fantasy Science fiction
Phantasy Star PortableSega's long-running RPG goes handheld for the first time in North America with Phantasy Star Portable, a story set between the events of Phantasy Star Universe and Ambition of the Illuminus. Players return to the Gurhal system where they join the new character Vivienne in an attempt to investigate and clear out an area contaminated after the perceived eradication of the alien SEED menace. Gamers can choose from a wide variety of options when creating a custom avatar, and then set about meeting new characters and collecting more than 150 items. Phantasy Star UniverseEthan Waber, the main character, and his little sister, Lumia Waber, are at the celebration of the 100th year anniversary of the Alliance Space Fleet on the GUARDIANS Space station. The celebration is interrupted when a mysterious meteor shower almost destroys the entire fleet. During evacuation, Ethan and Lumia split off of the main evacuation route and collapsing rubble separates Lumia from Ethan. Ethan then meets up with a GUARDIAN named Leo, but they are attacked by a strange creature. The creature paralyzes Leo and Ethan takes his handgun and kills the creature. Leo then tells Ethan to find his sister and that a rescue team is on the way.Action Science fiction
Phantasy Star: FukkokubanThis is a special edition of the first Phantasy Star for Mega Drive. Only released on Japan, made for the release of Phantasy Star IV debut. The real number of copies is uncertain but many forums and collectors say that only 10000 copies are made.
Phantasy Star was first released in Japan for the Master System on December 20, 1987. It was the most expensive game for the Master System in every market, its price being driven by the large 4 megabit chip, the save battery, and a concurrent chip shortage across the industry. In Japan, the game was difficult to find in stores. Sega often got requests from fans for a Mega Drive port, so they eventually shipped a limited release for the Mega Drive as part of a contest in 1994.
