FreakOut: Extreme Freeride is one of my favorite childhood games.
I still remember the day I received this game from my uncle as a birthday present.
The version I received was translated to polish by CD Projekt.
The laptop I had at the moment wasn't all that powerful to run the game smoothly, but it was still fun.
The glittering snow and the skier's trail left on it were really beautiful.
It felt especially good to play after getting back home from sled rides during winter, right after drinking some hot cocoa, of course ;P
Some years later I got to run the game on a more powerful hardware and I was amazed to see it run smooth as the butter with all graphical options on.
That upgrade allowed me to do more advanced stunts since what I've seen on the previous machine was more of a Powerpoint slideshow than a gameplay in comparison.
Learning how to mix flips with rolls made the game even more enjoyable.
I also enjoyed the game's soundtrack.
The game has split-screen, LAN and Internet multiplayer, but unfortunately I never got to play it online.
With all that said, I'd love to see this game available on GOG one day and with it, gain more players and potentially, fans.
