Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil SurvivorTokyo is in full lockdown, the government's swift, coldblooded response to a surprise demon invasion. Trapped within the sprawling metropolis is the city's helpless populace, forced to turn on each other in order to survive. A mysterious piece of technology, the COMP, falls into the hands of you and your peers. This device allows you to form contracts, forcing demons to serve you in battle against the otherworldly creatures. There are others with COMPs, so-called demon tamers, who seek to use the demons to satisfy their own whims-be they for justice, peace, or power-in the chaos that was once downtown Tokyo. Where did the demons come from? Why did they appear? Who created the COMPs, and what is their purpose? These questions must soon be answered, for if you fail to solve the mystery, much more is at stake than your own lives.

It's been two years since since the worldwide release of Kemono Tea, which turns the people who drink it into anthropomorphic animals. Society is still adjusting to the idea of real-life furries, but that doesn't mean you can skip your day-job. Leonardo Bianco is a barista at a struggling café. His boss feels like hopping on the furry train might be just the thing to attract customers to the floundering business. Via a connection at another local business (which some returning readers might recognize), Leo and his co-workers are offered a chance to try transforming themselves. The tea works as advertised, but for Leo, there's more changes he didn't anticipate.

Policenauts
PolicenautsPolicenauts is an interactive movie/graphic novel/adventure game with a hard science fiction storyline, written and directed by Hideo Kojima, and published by Konami. It was initially released for the PC-9821 computer platform in 1994, followed by remade versions for the 3DO in 1995, and the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1996. The game has never been officially released outside Japan, despite plans for an English localization of the Saturn version. On August 24, 2009 (in honor of the 46th birthday of the game designer, Hideo Kojima), an unofficial English translation patch was released onto the internet. The game is set in a primarily first person perspective and uses a point-and-click interface: the player can move the cursor and have the protagonist (Jonathan Ingram) analyze objects around his environment or talk to other characters in the game. Like in Snatcher, the game features shooting segments where the player must defend their character from incoming enemies. The player can use the shooting trainer at the police department to test their reflex and accuracy. There are numerous puzzles in the game, including an event where the player must dismantle a bomb by following their partner's instructions. The console versions of the game all include support for their respective mouse peripherals. The Saturn version features light gun support for the shooting segments. The game was notable for being an early example of extensive voice recording in video games. It also featured a theme revolving around space exploration and occasional full-motion video cut scenes. The gameplay was largely similar to Snatcher, but with the addition of a point-and-click interface and some first-person shooter segments. Policenauts also introduced summary screens, which act to refresh the player's memory of the plot upon reloading a save, an element Kojima would later use in Metal Gear Solid. The PlayStation version of Policenauts could also read the memory card and give some easter egg dialogues if a save file of Konami's dating sim Tokimeki Memorial is present, a technique Kojima would also later use in Metal Gear Solid.

Phantasy Star Adventure
Phantasy Star AdventureThis game is a Japanese-style adventure game set in the Phantasy Star universe. The player interacts with the game world by choosing available options such as "See", "Talk", "Move", etc. There are a few puzzles to solve and a few encounters with hostile characters (in a "pseudo-RPG" turn-based fashion), but the largest part of the game is dedicated to exploration and dialogue with the characters.

Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo Mokushiroku
Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo MokushirokuThe game is set in an alternate reality, in which Tokyo is invaded by hordes of demons. You play the role of a young man who lives in an underground shelter and is training to become a demon hunter with help of special programs. One day, during a training, one of the programs goes berserk, and as a result you are thrown into the world where you must fight for your life against vicious demons. Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo Mokushiroku is a non-canonical part of Megaten universe, featuring recurrent setting and story elements of the franchise. Like in classic Shin Megami Tensei games, the largest part of the game is spent in 3D dungeons, which are viewed from first-person perspective. The battle system introduces some unusual elements: enemies are visible before the actual battle begins, and during your dungeon exploration, you will be sometimes attacked from different sides. You will have to turn around to face the enemy in real time, but the game will be paused when you select commands from menu, in a traditional turn-based fashion.
