Very cool Sci-fi hack and slash from the era when we used to call them Diablo Clones. It stood out from it's peers due to the fact that not only did it feature multiple playable characters, all of whom had recorded speaking lines, but their inventory system, their stats and the weapons they can use were all entirely unique to that character and the campaign had an entirely unique progression for each of them.
Fairly simple ARPG in terms of systems, but the story turned out to be better than expected. The setting was also interesting with sci-fi technologies and alien factions. The weirdness is fairly well communicated by story and visuals. Gameplay could become somewhat dull at times, but the environments are well done and somewhat varied and the atmosphere is fairly strong. There are three characters which do follow their own storylines.

One of those titles I remember gazing at longingly on the Eidos website as a child saying "someday...someday I will play this. And then it was never available digitally. Please, pretty-please!

I played it only for a couple of hours like 20 years ago since it was a friend's game. I got totally hooked to the visuals, the sci-fi ambiance, and the characters' powers and playstyles. I have wanted to play it again ever since.
Nothing spectacular gameplay-wise. It feels closer to diablo 1 than 2, although released way after the latter. What makes it unique is the story and writing which are actually really good. I'd actually love to revisit this universe.

Fable II
Fable IIFable 2 is the second game in the fable series by Lionhead Studios, it is an open world role-playing game. It has a simple story line where the hero needs to save Albion from the evil Lord Lucian by collecting together the other three heroes to defeat him. Interactive cut-scenes are a large part of the game however the main character never speaks and all dialogue is uncontrolled. The game features a large variety of game play and freedom, allowing a player to shape the world around and the characters appearance and moral standing based on decisions throughout the game. The player can also get married both same and opposite sex and bring up children to childhood but no farther, expressions are a lot more interactive with NPC's than before

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008. The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.

Foxy 2
Foxy 2Foxy 2 is a turn-based strategy game. The gameplay is similar to its predecessor; it is confined to large-scale strategic battles, in which the player commands different types of units, in an attempt to reach the enemy base, protect his own, and exterminate all enemy units. Like in the first game, the units have distinct strengths and weaknesses, as well as attack range. The game includes even more various types of units, including the traditional infantry, rocket launchers (mobile and stationary), different kinds of tanks, planes, helicopters, etc. The plot is more elaborate than in the first game, and the cut-scenes between the battles typically include more plot-related information. Scenes with nudity and mild sexual content are kept intact.

Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy VIIIFinal Fantasy VIII is the eighth main installment in the Final Fantasy series. The gameplay makes a departure from many series standards. While it still uses the Active Time Battle system, it deviates from the series' traditional means of boosting a character's power via leveling, although levels are not completely abandoned as they were in Final Fantasy II. In addition, it does not have a Magic Point-based system for spell-casting. Instead, magic is collected, drawn, and created from items, and is used to power up the characters via the junction system.
