Story:MediEvil 2 or MediEvil II in its NA release, sequel to the popular MediEvil takes place after the noble but bony Sir Dan Fortesque defeats the evil wizard Zarok. After a new villain by the name of Lord Palethorn arises, poor Dan is awakened along with everything dead and forgotten. The game allows you to explore past levels as well as collecting the Chalice which gives a new weapon once 100% of the souls have been returned in the level. The game has many comedic moments, such as when Sir Dan tries conversing with a bunch of midgets in the city sewers who think he is an almighty God.Show more

MediEvil 2 recently gotten onto PS5. But I still would love to play it on here. Although there's some similarities with the original MediEvil. This is a vastly different game that stands out in a few ways. A different era Sir Daniel awakened in. There's more secrets hidden within the levels. Some truly amazing weapons with a few outfits. I do prefer how this tells the story over the original. You get more of a clear idea how many characters are like. I do prefer the information gargoyle over this ghost. The merchant in this game just works wonders. You get a bigger variety of stuff going on. Who doesn't remember the boxing boss fight with Iron Slugger? The soundtrack with the sound effects amazing work. This was the last MediEvil game on PS1. A rather interesting variety of enemies. MediEvil 2 is a weird sequel that somehow works. Even time travel near the end gets thrown into this madness. I would deeply appreciate Sony gets this game onto GOG. I know a lot of people played the original. But somehow missed out on the sequel. I do think this would be a great way to make sure. After all these years they finally can play MediEvil 2.
Well, what can I say? A game that already risks being lost today, born, conceived, and played across generations of consoles. Such a masterpiece, carrying with it perhaps the best years of our lives—memories of lighthearted, joyful, and carefree days. The only one capable of reviving it today seems to be GOG. They’ve already allowed me, like many nostalgic gamers, to dive back into memories with masterpieces such as the *Resident Evil* trilogy and *Dino Crisis 1* and *2*. These games let us unplug for a moment and return to being children, even if just for a little while.
I trust in the GOG team for the preservation and relaunch of this and other games we deeply miss today. After all, GOG is also about this: a store that delivers emotions through classic, timeless games that are still incredibly enjoyable to play, just as they were originally envisioned and created.

The backbone of this story seems to play out more like a Spider-Man 2099 story, since he is the only character truly aware of the happenings in the game, and the changes that both Spider-Men encounter. From the opening, things are bleak for Amazing Spider-Man who begins the game nearly dead, and 2099 is the only one who can help. A new villain Walker Sloan enters the picture with a plan to rebuild the past (from the year 2099) in his image and design, which turns to affect both Spider-Men.
