This is an unique situation because Mega Man X Legacy Collection games were done by a different team. They also both came out the same day. In comparison, two different teams done these classic Mega Man Legacy Collection games. There was a few years gap with Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. I previously owned both of them on Xbox and Steam respectively. You can instantly tell how different the set up for both of them are. In the first Mega Man Legacy Collection you can save/load state through em. They changed it to being a check point system in the second Mega Man Legacy Collection game. I should also point out 8-10 does save your process in game. These Mega Man games are truly packed with content to keep you busy for months possibly years. Even the bonus content is really worth checking out. You get ten Mega Man games in total with every DLC included. The challenges notably differs because of emulation styles. The first Mega Man Legacy Collection game has challenges designed to swap between games. Which never happens at all in the second Mega Man Legacy Collection game or later entries in Legacy Collection series. Both of these is a must for Mega Man fans. I personally prefer the second Mega Man Legacy Collection game more. But both of them are well done compilation games at their cores.
