i member wen video game was on gog. good time.
GoG actually had this available before but Konami pulled it back in 2021. I missed out on being able to buy this before it was delisted and, even though the new collection is available everywhere, I still want to be able to play this particular port of the game.
I hope this game gets back on gog. I Did buy this game before it got delisted and I hope other bpeople gets the chance to get it.
GoG previously had the original PC port of Substance available, but was unlisted for reasons I'm not entirely sure of. The current port for modern systems, the Master Collection, is a minimum effort port of the HD Collection version from 2011 which was based on the Xbox port of Substance. The Xbox port suffered from a laundry list of issues in comparison to the original PS2 release that the HD Collection only added to, and the Master Collection added a deluge of new issues on top of those. The original PC port was also based on the Xbox port and similarly suffered from a host of problems that fans had made efforts to fix. Honestly, the results were mixed, but even without those fixes it's at least one less layer of porting problems.
-one of the best games ever ---works like a dream ---speedrunners (not me) would love this ---every gamer should play this ---it`s PC ---it` s not overwhelming processing with "nothing " like some modern re-releases
imma say it, this is the goat mgs. Playing this as a kid without having played any other mgs and seeing the weird and meta (and, still to this day, very relevant) story really changed something in the way i see video games as a medium.
I really want to see this game, I think it's important to gaming history. I would love to keep a copy locally for my collection. This Metal Gear Solid series is what got me started with video games, and I think I have a huge hole in my digital collection in not having this game.
Why Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance Should Be on GOG Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is the definitive edition of MGS2, one of the most influential stealth-action games of all time. With expanded content, VR missions, Snake Tales, and gameplay refinements, Substance delivers the complete experience Hideo Kojima envisioned. Its cinematic storytelling, philosophical themes, and gameplay innovations helped redefine video games in the early 2000s. Sadly, the PC version of Substance is hard to find and difficult to run on modern systems. With Konami’s renewed interest in the Metal Gear franchise, now is the perfect time to bring Substance back—and GOG is the ideal platform. GOG’s DRM-free philosophy, modern compatibility updates, and preservation-focused mission make it the perfect place for MGS2: Substance to live again. Let new players and longtime fans experience one of the greatest games in its purest form. Bring Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance to GOG—because legends deserve to be preserved. Let me know if you'd like versions for MGS1 or Portable Ops too! I prefer this response
Bring this game back. I did buy this along with MGS1 when it was initially available. It's frustrating to see games like this get taken down when more people could have bought it.

Silent Hill: Mobile 3
Silent Hill: Mobile 3Silent Hill: Mobile 3 is the final mobile game in a trilogy that began in Silent Hill: Orphan and takes place in a mansion where the dark secrets of the town finally will be revealed. The gameplay is similar to the previous two games: it's a first person adventure game that consists of a number of static environments that the player can move between and interact with a point and click interface. At some occasions the player will have to fight against different monsters, and when that happens the cursor will be transformed into a crosshair allowing the player to aim and shoot. The shooting system is slightly different from previous games, each enemy has a weak point and when hit at the right time leads to extra damage.
