Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
Star Wars: Return of the JediThe Return of the Jedi completes the Trilogy of games based on the Star Wars films. Each one is a conversion of the Arcade game and Return of the Jedi picks up the action of the movie where the rebel forces begin their attack against the Imperial Death Star. In the first lever you control Princess Leia on her Speederbike through the forest of Endor to safety of the Ewok village. You leave Leia there and go to another part of the forest to control Chewbacca's Scout Walker. There, Hans Solo is waiting to deactivate the shields protecting the Death Star. On the second and third levels, you control Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian as he flies the Millennium Falcon. Lando flies close to the Death Star fighting off a mighty attack from the T.I.E. fighters. The Millennium Falcon enters the Death Star and travels down a dangerous tube towards the central reactor. Blast the reactor and then turnaround to get away from the Death Star as it blows up.

Blue Max 2001
Blue Max 2001In this sequel to Synapse's Blue Max, it is the year 2001 and you are flying a flying saucer. You're trying to bomb enemy targets while not getting shot (or rammed) by enemy saucers or shot by ground cannon. If the screen border starts flashing yellow, you are dangerously close to the ground. If the border is red, you are hitting the ground. If the border is gray, you are flying low but not TOO low. If the border is light blue, then the enemy ship is a the same altitude as you.

The Dallas Quest
The Dallas QuestWhen a game is faithful to the poor writing and wildly implausible plot conventions of a soap opera, does that make it a bad game or an effective adaptation of its source material? In any case, this game situates you as a private investigator hired by Sue Ellen to find a map to hidden oil fields, in hopes to accumulate enough wealth to escape the sinister influence of J.R. You snoop around the grounds of the South Fork Ranch, superficially interacting with much-loved characters from the TV show and an assortment of extras from the animal kingdom. So far, so good. Your travels ultimately lead you to the jungles around Playa Peligro, in South America, where you overcome a series of obstacles by using various techniques, but mostly by doping a friendly monkey with tobacco -- a firm reminder that we're descending beneath even soap opera plot conflicts and sitting squarely in an early-'80s text adventure game, with all of the internal logic-twisting that entails.

Revenge of the Mutant Camels
Revenge of the Mutant CamelsA sequel of sorts to Attack of the Mutant Camels, this time the player controls a camel. The camel is armed by default with small blue shots, but can obtain other weapons and weapon upgrades by collecting power-ups during the game. The game features a host of bizarre enemies, including: British telephone boxes, Polo mints, exploding sheep, skiing kangaroos, guys sitting on flying toilets and even the jet plane controlled by the player in Attack of the Mutant Camels and a wave of Jeff Minters.

The Last Starfighter
The Last Starfighter"Greetings Starfighter. You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the Frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan armada." It's not just a tag line, it's also the instructions! Yes, you've been recruited to help the Star League destroy Xur and his forces once and for all. To accomplish this, you'll have to travel to the Procyon system and destroy the Ko-Dan in their own galaxy. However, while you're off playing cowboy in a distant galaxy, the Ko-Dan armada are planning their own attack on your home system of Celos IV. So not only must you defeat the whole Ko-Dan empire single handed, you must also defend your galaxy at the same time. Accomplishing both tasks at once is all about strategy, sharp shooting, and a little luck. The Last Starfighter is based on the 80s movie. Unfortunately despite being finished it wasn't released for the Atari 5200. However it does exist in prototype form and was eventually officially released for the Atari XE/XL as Star Raiders II with some minor changes. Also an arcade version was supposed to be released but was canned as well. On top of all that this game wasn't even originally The Last Starfighter and instead was originally called Orbiter that was retooled. Quite a history for a prototype!

Tetris
TetrisTetris is a tile-matching puzzle video game. The goal is to place pieces made up of four tiles in a ten-by-twenty well, organizing them into complete rows, which then disappear. The main objective of each round is to clear 25 lines, after which the player moves on to the next round. If the stack reaches the top of the field, the player loses a life, and if all three lives are lost, the game is over. The game lets the player choose the starting stage and round, as well as one of three background tunes. Difficulty is increased throughout the stages by an increase in speed and the addition of garbage blocks in the well.

I, Robot
I, RobotThe game play consists of moving robot1984 over all of the red tiles while avoiding objects flying at you from the back of the screen. Eliminating the red tiles diminishes the shield at the back of the playfield which prevents you from flying to the next level. To get to all the red tiles, players sometimes need to leap across empty space which creates a permanent bridge between the two points. Leaps across empty space have to be timed so that the "eye" of Big Brother in the back of the playfield, which randomly opens and closes, does not see robot1984 and destroy him.
