This was truly the best way to experience Gen 1 Pokemon... at least if you were a fan of the anime. If I remember right, you could even get the rest of the starters over the course of the game.

Onimusha TacticsOnimusha Tactics is a turn-based strategy game between the player's side and the enemy's side. In each level you can bring a squad of no more than 10 people. There are no items to buy or sell, however equipment is available and customizable.
