As a long time dinosaurs enthusiast, imagine the awe of a 14 years old kid in front of the arcade cabinet if a classic fighting game, with dinosaurs as protagonists, in a totally non scientific, but cool as hell, representation. I never became good at the game, but the love for the concept, never replicated to this date as far as i know, still remains unquenched.
A classic that needs to rage again. Primal rage is a unique fighting game with a rich history. Well not as fondly remembered as mortal kombat, Primal Rage is still something special worth revisiting. If Mortal Kombat is the goat, and Killer instinct is the cool uncle, Primal Rage is the grandpa that always gives you candy when seeing him.
A beautiful fast-paced hungry dinosaur smashing mortal kombat clone. It's amazing. There is nothing like it whatsoever. It's sad that it has so little votes, hopefully that changes.

Shin Ruckus and Dan Filner have an emulation beta for Windows that is (mostly) finished. Though it still needs some polish, it is far and away the closest emulation to arcade perfect. The significance of this is that, despite the myriad official home console ports and efforts from the MAME team, rom encryption still hasn't been cracked. This encryption causes all kinds of havoc - from animation bugs to hitbox problems and other related gameplay issues. Getting the Moo Emulator implementation of Primal Rage finished with that last 10% and officially available on GOG will -FINALLY- after thirty long years do what no one else has done up to this point. If anyone else is up to the task of releasing an arcade accurate version of the game, I welcome them, but as of writing, it doesn't exist officially. For my point of view, Primal Rage was the fighting game that taught me fighting games. Hot take, I know, especially since this game released smack-dab in the middle of some of most influential arcade fighters ever made. It's often criticized for its decision to use level-edge for its specials (hold the buttons first, then joystick movements); but in a niche where games from the era feel like copies of each other, Primal Rage dared to be different. It created systems that would become the norm for fighting games going forward: comeback mechanics, jump cancels, and chaining normals. My experience with the game peaked when I finished the arcade version on the hardest difficulty without taking damage. A feat that took six months of practice, and an additional two weeks' worth of attempts. FG fans deserve a taste of what it would be like if Capcom hadn't dominated the scene.

This game is a legendary fighter mixing the blood and gore of early-mid 90's fighting games with massive prehistoric monsters, brought to life with some pretty good stop motion animation. I've had quite a bit of fun with the Sega Genesis port, but as much fun as it is, it's a far cry from other versions of the game. It would be nice to see either the arcade version, or even the impressive DOS port, be given an accesible way to be played.
I loved playing this game at my local bowling alley! As a dinosaur lover, it was what got me into fighting games. It's a shame this series went away when the world and gameplay was so fun. Please bring this game to GOG!
I remember first hearing of this game on Matt mussels wah happun series, and I became so invested in this game that I had to both give it a shot, but also buy a piece of merch for it and help preserve it
The game itself has so many unique things going on with gameplay, the soundtrack is superb, and the visual representation is so memorable! I have owned 2 of the original arcade cabinets and still miss them to this day!

When I was a kid, I absolutely loved dinosaurs, so this game was the raddest thing ever. I am so happy I got to find it in adulthood, and likewise I am so furious this franchise was abandoned. I want this idea to remain, either continued by the original company or by a spiritual successor. But in any case, something that lets this beloved game and piece of history continue.

When I was very young I used to play this game a lot with my dad and my younger brother. It was hilarious, lots of good times and good memories, it made us happy. It would be amazing beyond words to be able to smoothly play this game again on GoG with my family one more time! please make it happen!

Flying Warriors
Flying WarriorsIn an unexplored region of China wrapped in mystery, Ryuhi, a boy, was born and brought up in high mountain tops. There he received instruction from his wise teacher, Juan. Though he was young, he made himself a master of Kempo. One day, his teacher Juan was attacked and robbed of the Secret Scrolls of Hiryu-no-Ken, of which he was the author. Ryuhi possessed the 6th volume of the Secret Scrolls, the Shingan-no Sho, or book of the mind's eye which Juan had managed to save. Ryuhi begins his journey to Shorinji in compliance with Juan's last request. Gengai, the bishop of Shorinji welcomed the little Ryuhi, regarded as one of the titans of Shourinji Kempo. Six years later, they received a letter of challenge from the Tusk Soldiers, a mysterious organization of enemies of the Shorinji. Ryuhi is determined to take part in the upcoming "World Tournament of Contact Sports" as a representative of Shorinji. His desire is to prevent the Tusk Soldiers from becoming champions of Contact Sports at the tournament. Ryuhi heard from Gengai that in truth it was the Tusk Soldiers who attacked his teacher and robbed him of the Secret Scrolls. As he leaves for the World Tournament, his thoughts are on his teacher Juan and keeping the fighting spirit burning. The game features combat in a variety of formats, such as kicking and using fireballs to repel monsters in scrolling stages, a system during one-on-one duels against Tusk Soldiers or a pair of martial arts tournaments where the player must attack a mark that appears on their opponent's body, or defend the area when it appears on them (this system is similar to Culture Brain's original Flying Dragon for the NES), and RPG-style command battles against monster bosses. When confronted by a Tusk Soldier or other otherworldly villain, Rick can change into a costumed superhero form or switch with one of his teammates. The player must switch to Flying Warrior form to use the characters' magic powers and defend themselves from the Tusk Soldiers' magic spells.
