My brother and I got this game for our birthday when we were kids. We had tons of fun creating creating our own custom creatures and watching the ecosystem play out, plus we learned a lot about how health ecosystems work. I was never very good at it, so I couldn't get the city to grow much, and I'd love to take another crack at it now. There aren't many games like this, and it would be great for it to reach a wider audience.

I played this game so much as a kid. The endless hours carefully picking the right combination of plants, herbivores and carnivores to bring into balance the perfect ecosystem. The constant chasing of 'bubble spore' to capture and release further upwind - why didn't the darn wind ever change direction? The carnage of dropping just a few too many Rancor into an overcrowded area. Terraforming swamp into rock or vice versa to create ecological partitions. Setting the harvest limit to maintain a population of 17 Green Glie just because I knew the high reproduction rate could handle it. Randomly causing earthquakes because I was amused by Jar Jar's freakout. The simple joy of this ecosystem builder was never replaced for me in any other game I've perused, and there could be so much potential if this one got a little love with updated graphics and creature catalogue.

My brother in law used to have a HUGE collection of games burned in CDs, complete with their cover art and everything. This was one of the games he had and I remember playing it even before i watched the movie. I spent so many hours playing around with this game, getting lost in (what I remember) the very complex interactions different life forms have with one another. I tried playing it again recently, but it's very annoying to set up on modern computers, and even after a lot of fiddling it still has tons of bugs that make it unplayable for me. I'd love to see such an unique game being brought back to life.
This is a game very close to my heart. I was very young when playing it, and I only have fond memories of being glued to the screen figuring out how on earth to balance an alien ecosystem with very little instruction.

I loved playing this game, it had unique charm to it... still remembering balencing out the eco system between carnivours, herbavours, and plants... never ever in my life thought I would enjoy doing that :D Kept playing this game till it sadly stopped runing on modern PCs, looked everywhere on gaming platforms but sadly couldn't find it.
Those games also need your vote!

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the HedgehogThis is a completely different game than its 16-bit counterpart on the Genesis/Mega Drive, and was originally released on the Sega Game Gear and Master System. To stop the evil Dr. Robotnik, Sonic must traverse six zones consisting of three levels each. Most of the zones are based on those in the original game, but some are entirely new, including a jungle environment and a huge airship. Other unique differences are one level that scrolls automatically and one that is aligned vertically instead of horizontally. Most of the enemies (mechanized animals, defeated by Sonic's spikes when jumping or rolling) and power-ups (speed-ups, shields, extra lives) are the same as in the Genesis version as well. Sonic can pick up golden rings for protection (when hit, he simply loses all of his rings instead of a life) and bonuses: 100 rings gain Sonic an extra life, and 50 remaining rings at the end of a level allow access to pinball-themed special stages full of bumpers and springs. The final level of a zone is always a boss fight against Robotnik. Some of the boss fights differ in the Master System and Game Gear versions of the game, with special designs for the handheld version due to the smaller visible screen area. Sonic should also collect the six Chaos Emeralds to keep them from falling into Robotnik's hands. In a departure from the original game, these are not hidden in the special stages but somewhere in the regular levels.
