This is a severely underrated baseball sim on PC that usually gets overshadowed by Backyard Baseball and MVP Baseball. It features semi-realistic baseball mechanics with an almost cartoonish art style that grows on you. Having the ability to fine tune the difficulty (ego) of each component of the game on the fly is one of my favorite features. Every stadium is unique while being based on real cities and stadiums. Many player names have puns which are surprising not too distracting. Overall this game feels really good to play if you like in-depth baseball games.
This is the last Super Mega Baseball game released by Metalhead before they were acquired by EA. I wasn't too much of a fan the direction SMB4 went. Long term copyright shouldn't be a problem since everything within the game is original. With no current plans for future SMB games or MLB The Show on PC, I would hope this game can be preserved for the future.
