As a teenager, i found out by sheer accident that the save game state does not include shops (shop inventory persists during reloads).
What followed were a few hours and cycles of crafting material duping and selling forged weapons to rack up money and resources. Then i could 'start' the game with equipment forged to the max and just breeze through everything
