This game allowed me to experience Middle-earth in an epic way. The world from the movies was recreated quite well. The game could previously be tough for me though, for instance the Minas Tirith top of wall level in which you have to eliminate the enemies fast and watch over the meter which shows to which degree the city is captured. I might have failed lots of times in it. Would be nice to have this game DRM-free and compatible with modern platforms.
My favorite game to play with my little brother on the weekends! Great fun and a very good challenge! The merging of the movie cutscenes with the start of the level made you really feel like you were playing your favorite movie!

Playing this game is a joy for me. I lose myself while playing the game. Only those who have experienced it know this pleasure, it is indescribable. Playing a game of a movie you watch with pleasure and feeling like a member of that world is an undeniable pleasure.

Between this and The Two Towers I spent a absolutely gross amount of time on my NGC on these games. Pretty sure I also broke a few controllers from regular usage. This game slaps hard and I don't think there's been a better LoTR game made yet.

The game is great, after bfme the best game of the Tolkien trilogy preserving the atmosphere of the film. The game has authentic scenes from the film, realistic textures of the characters from the film, the graphics also have their own charm, you know it is not beautiful graphics but it makes up for it with atmosphere. If one were to see it in his library of games on Gog, it would be beautiful. Even the actors of the movie played it because the game has something that surpasses the new games even the best ones like gow ragnarok, wu kong

This was a really fun, arcade inspired take on the LotR movie. It is definitely not an adaptation of the book. I’d compare it to Super Star Wars as a licensed property with really video-gamey action that stretches conceits of the source material to make levels with power-ups and hordes of enemies to run through. I loved that after beating the game you could keep leveling up your team and open up every level to every character. Samwise could pull off comically massive ghost killing combos in the Paths of the Dead by the end.

This and the Two Towers game are amongst the best movie based video games that ever existed. Combat was so fun. Playing through the films story, especially since it released before the film iirc, was fun. The variety of characters really gave you some fun stuff to play with. I still remember that opening mission where you play as Gandalf helping the Ents destroy Isengard, which while not canon, was still an amazing mission and so fun.

Po prostu jestem mocne fan The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ogólnie serduszek ♥.
I remember watching the LOTR the two towers over and over again when I was a kid when we still had dvd players just for the hell of it. Watching it and actually focusing on the epic battles between the forces of good and evil. This game gave me the euphoria of actually participating in the battle as an old man with a beating stick. It takes me back the when liking the series was cool in a way that I can't seem to describe it fully in words when I had to worry about was school, the weather, and filling up the bar until it maxed out and I can get through everyone's block. To preserve the game on GoG is to preserve Tolken's legacy in videogame form.

Blazing Dragons
Blazing DragonsA video game based on the television series was created for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation consoles. In a twist on the legend of King Arthur, the player controls Flicker, who lives in Camelhot castle and is in love with Princess Flame, but is not eligible to ask for her hand in marriage because he is not a knight. However, the King has announced a dragon tournament, where the winner will not only win the princess but also become the new king. As a young Flicker, the player must collect various objects and interact with an eccentric cast of dragon and human characters in order to solve puzzles. The player's overall quest is to become a dragon knight to compete in the grand tournament and win the heart of Princess Flame. However, the player discovers an evil human plot to take over the kingdom by kidnapping the princess. As is the case with many other graphic adventure games, the player can never die in the game or reach a point in the game where a puzzle cannot be solved. The humour in the game is heavily influenced by the British comedy of Monty Python (the game starring former Monty Python actor Terry Jones) and thus includes plenty of mild sexual innuendos, and other shenanigans. While the video game leaves open the possibility for a sequel, no sequel for the game was planned.

Discworld II: Mortality Bytes!
Discworld II: Mortality Bytes!Discworld II: Mortality Bytes! is the second point-and-click adventure game based on Terry Pratchett's series of fantasy novels set on the mythical Discworld. The game was developed and produced in 1996 by Perfect Entertainment for the PC, and ported in 1997 for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. It was published by Psygnosis for the PC and PlayStation, and by Sega for the Saturn (only in Europe). In Discworld II the player controls Rincewind the "wizzard" (voiced by Eric Idle, as in the previous game) who has been burdened with the task of coercing Death out of his impromptu retirement and back into his regular duties. The plot borrows from a number of Discworld books, most notably Reaper Man, Moving Pictures and Lords and Ladies. It all begins in a quiet Ankh-Morpork street, where Rincewind and The Librarian inexplicably fail to die from a nearby cart-bomb explosion. The odd event is not shared by them alone however: occurrences of the newly dead re-awakening and disturbing the populace are being reported all over the city, prompting the Archchancellor of Unseen University to halt his usual activities of feasting and merrymaking, and to take charge of the situation. Much to Rincewind's despair, the entirety of this process involves appointing him to the task of finding Death and convincing him to resume his work.

Discworld
DiscworldDiscworld is a game released for PC (subsequently Mac, and Playstation) by Teeny Weeny / Perfect 10 studios in 1995. The game was released both on floppy disk and CD-Rom. The latter featured a commentary team created of many veterans of famous Brit-Coms. This included Monty Python's Eric Idle, Radio 4's (later to be more famous) Rob Brydon, ex- Doctor Who John Pertwee, 70s pop singer Kate Robbins, and Blackadder star Tony Robinson. The game is a riff on the Discworld title 'Guards, Guards', however many elements of the text have been shifted, not least the inclusion of Rincewind as protagonist. The game featured puzzles which were considered far too difficult and obtuse for gamers of the time, but the game itself has had a lasting legacy, now being accepted into such emulators as SCUMMVM.
