One of the games that came with our first family PC, me and my brothers spent countless hours figuring out the puzzles despite hardly knowing any English at the time. I haven't played it in a long time since these days running the game is very difficult, but I'd love to see an updated version compatible with modern systems on GOG one day to relive the nostalgia.
my mom bought this for my sister and I and we played it for years. It was one of our favorite pc games. Ive still got it but no pc to play it on. Ive tried everything to get it running locally. Tried to get it on MiSTer, even considered buying or building a retro pc. Be nice if i could just play it on a modern one though.
This is an amazing gem of a game. Really hiding the learning in a fun and interesting way. Cant remember how many hours I spent in front of the screen with this game. But the best part is that everyone in the family enjoyed the game as well. Even my grandparents could enjoy sitting down with me as a child playing this "computer game" as they would say.

So many different types of puzzles that were all so fun. For a "kid" game, the different difficulties you could choose could become really hard, even for an adult!

I used to spend hours playing this game, it was one of the first games I played that came in CD ROM, and first game I played with voices! Basically taught me how to speak English. The puzzles were very creative, never played anything like it since. It's impossible to run this game on modern machines, believe me, I tried so much!

The Witch's House
The Witch's HouseThe Witch's House falls within the tradition of Japanese horror RPGs with heavy emphasis on puzzle-solving and jump scares. Among other entries in the genre such as Ib and Ao Oni, The Witch's House surprised fans with pixel-art that conceals truly frightening horror. The Witch's House is deliberately designed with traps at almost every turn--sudden death is unpredictable and it keeps players on their toes. Anything can happen at any time.

Alien 8
Alien 8Alien 8 is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Ultimate Play The Game. It was released for the ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro, Amstrad CPC and MSX in 1985.[a] The game is a spiritual successor to the best-selling Knight Lore, which was lauded by critics for its isometric graphics. In the game, the player takes control of a robot, Alien 8, whose job is to ensure that all of the cryogenically frozen passengers on board a starship remain viable during the ship's voyage. The game was written by Chris Stamper, and graphics were designed by Tim Stamper. Alien 8 uses the same image masking technique as Knight Lore, which allows the developers to create composite structures out of stacked images without visual overlay. The technique was copyrighted by Ultimate as the Filmation game engine. As with its spiritual predecessor, the game is rendered isometric projection.[2] The game was critically acclaimed upon release. Reviewers praised the game's graphics and innovation, however minor criticism was directed at its similarities to Knight Lore.
