Story:Warblade is a shareware computer game for Microsoft Windows and OS X, written by Norwegian developer Edgar M. Vigdal. The Windows version runs well on Linux under Wine. It is also available for retail in the App Store for iOS devices (in iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad versions). The game is a 2D space shooter in the vein of the perennial classic Galaga. It is a rewrite and modernization of a popular Amiga shareware game, Deluxe Galaga, which was written by the same author back in the mid-1990s. Fond memories of playing various versions of this game as a child. The (Norwegian) developer sadly passed away in 2015-ish while developing a new version, but their family may still be approachable. I might try to ask and remaster it myself if no one else is interested in this game.
My uncle got me hooked on this game one of the best arcade like games. Sadly the dev has passed on but the site is still up but you cant buy it anymore. Preservation is needed.
I played this game many times back in the 2000s, both on PC and iPhone. It was a fantastic Galaga-like game with so many interesting secrets buried in there. I was really saddened to hear that the developer had passed away while preparing a sequel. I'd love to see this preserved in some way.
Crime PatrolCrime Patrol puts the player in the shoes of a police officer, who starts as a Rookie and has to work his way up to become a member of SWAT and eventually the Delta Force team. To do that, he has to complete missions, which involve taking down criminals in a variety of locations. Beginning with smaller-scale criminals (such as shoplifters), the hero will later have to face gangsters, drug lords, and eventually terrorists. For each set of missions, the player characters is being teamed up with another police officer. The gameplay is quite similar to any other of the large live-action laser-gun games found in the arcades - all the player has to do is take the gun (or the mouse in the computer version) and show those criminals who's the boss!Action
