Very different in tone than Kiwami and also showcases the beginnings of the franchise, Kiwami adds a lot of things but it's not quite the same game as it lacks in grittiness and feels more like a Yakuza 0 expansion compared to the original Yakuza. I absolutely love the shady grim atmosphere of the original and of course the english voice acting is legendary at this point. Sadly the only way to play this game legally is getting an aging Playstation 2 and the game, which is getting rather expensive nowadays and quality of the disc can't be guaranteed, so a PC port would be a great addition to GOG and SEGAs legacy as a whole.

The United States, while had their population devastated, managed to hold their infrastructures and technology mostly intact, and had Mexico and Canada joining as new states, as well as a change in the constitution that changed the government into a private company, with certain special citizens being considered "shareholders".
Due to the limitations of non-fossil energy sources, the control of a recently discovered material (Thermodux) that could amplify the power output of those energy sources is highly coveted. So, after an accident that killed the researchers and completing an hostile take-over of India Incorporated, Zendo announced a "security attachment" to "protect" the Solomon Islands (where Thermodux was being studied) from further terrorist threat. However, The US contracted a mercenary company, Navco, to clear the island, with the player joining as new recruit for the company, working for cash and shares in the US government.
The game is a typical flight combat simulator, with missions involving patrol, defense and attacking enemy facilities. The ultimate goal of the game is to survive each mission, taking down as many enemy aircraft as possible to collect a bounty, that can be used to purchase better weaponry and new crafts. The player should also avoid the destruction of USA-controlled facilities, as they carry a fine.
Fighter WingFighter Wing is a flight simulator that instead of concentrating on a single type of aircraft, covers a wide array of flyable planes. You get to play in either Nato or soviet sides in a series of scenarios (no campaign mode) that take place over fictional situations (the President goes insane and orders a massive strike, etc.). On the Nato side, you can fly the F-4, F-15, F-16, F-18 and F-117. While on the Soviet side you get the MIG-21, 23, 29, 31 and the SU-27.Warfare
