DemonKiller49: Well, I downloaded the newest patch for 2.0 and installed PL just to have it constantly crash at the RedEngine logo. I have heard you and others say that it doesn't crash while using galaxy. Well, two and two equal four. Go into you install directory and delete the Galaxy64.dll. The game launches flawlessly now. Thanks for nothing, GOG.

schoolofmonkey: Here's the kicker, if you delete Galaxy64.dll you no longer have access to the PL DLC, it just becomes the base game, proving there is DRM in the GOG version of the game.
I didn't check into all that. I just wanted to get the game to launch. I have Dogtown on the map, and can go there. So, unless that location was added to the base, I dunno.

smuggly: Are you guys with crashes running AMD cards?

I see one guy with Nvidiacard

Wow it's a hit or miss I guess.

As the one user says, deleting that DLL reverts the game to base. It's the only way I can get it to boot without using Galaxy. It'll be a cold day in hell before I use that shit. Gog needs to fix this DRM bullshit ASAP.!

I can also confirm all of this. This is unacceptable, so I hope there's a fix on the way. Fill support's inbox.

EDIT: As a test, I fully uninstalled Cyberpunk and GOG Galaxy, and used the offline installers to reinstall Cyberpunk. The exact same behavior persisted, even without Galaxy being installed anymore. As far as I'm concerned, Cyberpunk 2077 is no longer DRM-free.

EDIT 2: Putting the main Cyberpunk .exe into Windows 7 compatibility mode seems to fix it, at least somewhat. I was able to start the game and had full access to the base game and the DLC without Galaxy running, but it was a crapshoot whether or not it would crash at the start like it does without compatibility mode on.

+1

Installed 2.0 ran fine. then hotfix + PhL and after that crash on startup.
Updated amd graphics card driver - could start once, after that crashes.

deleting the DLL lets me start the game but not continue the savegame - some undefined error message when i try.

uninstalled all. redownloaded the PhL version of the installers without the patches. same result.

currently installing the 2.0 version again and waiting on a bugfix....
The micro patch that came with the DLC is now checking for the gog galaxy client to be running to work. Otherwise the game just flatlines shortly after loading.
Just installed Version 2.0 and Phantom Liberty from offline installer.

I am using Manjaro Linux & Lutris.

The keyboard is detected as a controller.
And I could not crouch using C button. Redefining C button does not work.

Closed the game and was trying to restart and now it crashes every on boot up.

Version 1.63 always worked great (apart from some minor, known bugs).

Yeah the keymapping issues pisses me off as well as others issues do. I use C for crouch because my left pinky does not work due to 2 strokes within a few years time in my late 30s. I think it was the second one to be honest. Anywho, I downloaded 1.63 and will try to get back in the game on that version. With 2.0 I cannot properly crouch. The whole my keyboard is a game controller when nothing game controller is set up on my system is bothersome as well.
