Mithril.218: I'd be much better if Gog dropped it as an optional download. That way we can choose to patch it at our own peril.
To be honest that would probably be the best way. Or they could do it as a DLC like they did with the "HQ" texture pack. Would be great imo
I'd only recommend to make a backup for pre-nextgen update version (offline installer files), so you guys have a subjectively better experience with mods made and updated prior to this "next-gen" version of Fallout 4.

I had to edit a manifest file for my steam version of Fallout 4 to prevent it from asking for new updates. I just glad I set the game to "Update when I launch this game", so I didn't have to roll it back with every WH40k mod I had installed previously.

GOG has done similar things with other games, where you can purchase the game but choose/decline a special edition upgrade, or download a completely separate normal edition instead of the "Enhanced Edition" of a game released later. In some cases these later releases prevent people from playing a game at all because of hardware requirements (and so people wouldn't buy it), so it's a really great idea.

Rygar1972: It is your own choice to install the update,

second Update for the next Week with more graphic
and Gameplay Enhencmants.

Cool, it is own choice? Ok, how do I choose the update then? I want it, but I don't know where to choose it.

webmistress: Turns out you were correct
yup.

webmistress: The update is so bad that it still has not appeared on GOG, maybe never will, and the newest posts here are saying that GOG has done the community a favour by just not releasing the buggy update! Who can say? Certainly not me!!!
nope. they have to either remove the "creation club" stuff or package it. this takes time - especially as its tied to bethesda accounts. likelihood is theyre trying to package it like they did for the GOG version of skyrim.
