Been waiting for a couple of days on any response to my control rebind issue with Arx fatalis. Evidently nobody is haunting the subforum, so I thought I'd ask here.

Here is the thread: https://www.gog.com/forum/arx_fatalis/arx_libertatis_control_rebind_issue

So, are we talking KBM, Joy, or some weird other input device?

KBM
A trick that seemed to work for some games was to change the .ini files manually, then set its properties to "Read Only". Might work here as well.

Sachys: KBM
On something of a blank guess, does the mod itself have a configuration file?

I don't have the game, but according to PCGamingWiki there should be 2 INI files:
cfg_default.ini - for Arx Fatalis
cfg.ini - for Arx Libertatis
Maybe you were editing the one for the vanilla game instead of the port.

Nope.
As stated in the subforum thread I initially checked the gog folder one THEN found the mods one. Editing either does nothing.

:O
HUH!

I think I have solved my issue. Turns out "customise controls" in the menu isnt a header but actually clickable. On clicking it, the edits I made to the ini file are applied and work in game.

Much palm. All the face.

Well, thanks for attempting to help folks. :)

Actually, that sounds like a bad UX/UI design thing. Still, glad you figured it out.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it wasnt like that before adding the mod.
