BlueMooner: Not a giveaway, but thought it noteworthy enough to mention:

https://www.humblebundle.com/games/epic-games-store

Humble is doing a bundle of Epic games, which breaks their seemingly only-Steam track record. They also have a new format of selecting your price. The page claims it's raised 2K for charity, so... less popular than usual?

It looks like Epic is breaking into a previously onlySteam venue, something Gog never did.

Arcadius-8606: What do you mean by this? I've gotten GOG codes from Humble Bundle before. There's even a section devote to it - https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047622913-GOG-Direct-Redemption

Also Humble Bundle use to give out codes for Desura when it was still around. I still have my games from that too.

You could also get Nintendo and Playstation games from here at one point.
I think what he means is: GOG has never had a Full GOG Games Weekly Humble Bundle or GOG Monthly/Choice Bundle.

This is probably the first Epic Games Humble Bundle period.

This is what I meant. Sure, gog has had the occasional game there, but never a full page of gog-only, the way steam does every single time. The fact that epic has a full page is noteworthy, IMO.

gog should let stores sell the keys like steam does

I get the GOG thing now. Humble has had full pages of Desura, Origin, Playstation and Nintendo. Not sure what makes the Epic noteworthy, unless you mean since it's their first one? Or is there a hidden benefit for the consumers that I'm not seeing?

I know that awhile back Humble started the cash back rewards which I exploited nicely are they doing that now with Epic games?

What's funny was even when EA had a Origin Bundle w/ mostly Origin-versions of games, they also offered-up Steam-keys on some games.

Epic has been pumping out a lot of money to try to be a competitor to steam. Getting into Humble suggests they might be making headway, however small.

Steam is like microsoft... always trying to sneak itself into everything.
IMO alle these busness models will end soon. Ubisoft is leading head to the "All in one subscription" model for gaming platforms.

Dogmaus: Among Us on Epic: I made a few games with some people on Discord (while chatting and all) and didn't have much fun. Just do chores and random blaming people and arguing about it. Not for me.
Playing Among us with randos is just terrible, but try playing it with the regular Mafia crowd. Those who are used to Mafia know that getting people to talk where everyone is/was and prodding inconsistencies is the only way to go when you wanna find a hidden killer.

I haven't been to a game of Among Us for a while, but those I had with GogMafia friends were leagues better than games with random idiots that tend to screw around in the game instead of playing to win.

Dedo had been hosting a discord for these sessions of AU. Hit him up with a PM if you want to try playing with people who know what they're even doing.

Yeah... I disagree. The best possible outcome for us is the subscription model flopping hard despite having a big name behind it. And I think Ubisoft or EA would be perfect for the position.

If they try and succeed it will be really bad but I don't think they would succeed. OTOH if they fail it will not only make them wary of trying again in the future (even if the conditions become more favorable) , but also serve as a warning for other companies that might feel tempted to launch their own subscription services.

Who knows? It might even put them in such a risky financial situation that they start considering releasing games on other stores (including Gog) again.

No word on the lifespan of the bundle sales model tho. It depends a lot more on Steam than anything Ubi, EA or any other player might decide.
What happened to the Amazoon Prime Games thread?
Anyway, as I am enjoying some more free Amazon Prime, these are a few free games you can get there.

I'm happy I got the Lost Phone games, I will get them on GOG if I like them. And I am looking forward to Candleman and Unmemory.

thanks! It's not updated since March and I could not find it no matter how I tried!

If people want they can comment on Amazon Prime games here. It's a subscription but:
- there are ways of getting it for free
- games can be played after the subscription is expired - right?

OP not updated since March, but you reactivated it by posting on August 18 and there were several more posts within a day of that.

One thing I like to do is bookmarking any posts I find even slightly interesting (by ticking "this is my favourite topic" in such posts), since https://www.gog.com/forum/general doesn't seem to have a limit of how many bookmarked posts it can show at once.
Then you just need to use the browser's search text function (usually Ctrl F), then search for keywords that are likely to be in the title of the post you want to find.
And if you want to go to the bottom of the bookmarked posts/the top of the non-bookmarked posts, use Ctrl F to find "sticky" (the pinned posts, since they're always between both bookmarked and non-bookmarked posts).
